insurgency is gaining

The battle in Afghanistan is far from over. In fact, insurgency is gaining. Well, that is what people on the ground are saying. Hey, our prez, he wants to pull out now. That sounds like a strategy of running away. It will only embolden our enemies. Fact is, we are losing, not winning our war.
