Alternate Timelime - ATL where Germany wins WWII can seem impossible, but imagine more uboats and Britain falls. The US is attacked by the combined forces of russian, germany, and japan. The history books would claim that it was obvious that america could not survive against the combined military mights of russia, germany, and japan.
In fact, few ATL or alternate historians would see how capitalism could survive against a far superior system of national socialism. The system we have with strikes and bank failures would seem inefficient and flawed.
