Oil rises on fear
Fear of Gustav doing damage sent oil going up. The price is rapidly rising as 98% of the production of gulf crude oil is shut down. This is having an impact on the world economy. I predict that stocks will open lower.

Bob Lazar talks about some new projects that are working on cutting edge technology. This deals with electrogravitics an extension of Project Galileo. Most of this technology was developed in the 1980's, but never commercialized. Perhaps, an attempt to make this technology available to the masses will be attempted now.
The initial research Dr. Townsend Brown dealt with high voltage used to neutralize gravity. Most of this research is now very hush. There is some work on lifters that people know about, but using this technology would make air transport much faster and economical.

Irradiated lettuce will be allowed on your grocery store shelf. FDA says Ok to use radiation.
This is bad news. I did warn people that this might happen in the future.
Food is altered by radiation and rendered into a toxic product. Do not eat radiated food as it is not safe. We know so little, remember when they said DDT was safe?

Shai Agassi has a plan to put electric cars on the road. He wants to create a network of charging stations much like the cellular telephone network we have now, except it will be for charging up the electric cars.
The plan is max ambitious, but so is Shai. He used to be head of product development at SAP, but quit to create a network for electric cars. He believes that wind power could supply the electricity to make this dream a reality. The road ahead is bright indeed.

The mighty ocean seems so vast that nothing could destroy it and yet pollution is causing the appearance of numerous oceanic deserts where there is no life. A dead zone the size of mass near Texas is now twice as big as twenty years ago. However, the people is world wide, in the Baltic sea fish are dying due to lack of oxygen. People see that the sea is dying.
Pollution is the problem. The amount of nitrogen runoff did increase and now we face algae blooms that cause mats of green scum to sink to the bottom, rot and consume our oxygen. In the pacific ocean there is so much trash that the pacific gyre is called an oceanfill. That is a landfill, not on land but in the ocean itself.

Learn to drive a stick shift car. You improve fuel efficiency by about 4 mpg as well as save money because:
1) Manual transmission cars cost less to buy.
2) Stick shift breaks less and costs less to repair.
3) Your breaks wear out less quickly.
4) Less heavy so less damage to roads.
5) Easy to sell in today's energy dependent world.

Today the People's Islamic Republic of Iran gave threat to close the Persian Gulf to oil tankers. This could send the price of petroleum products soaring as most of the Saudi oil goes through the Straights of Hormus. This is a most unfortunate development as it will cause much hardship.
Here is hoping that cooler heads will prevail and this issue can be resolved in a diplomatic fashion. Perhaps we should begin to stockpile supplies now.

Thankfully, gasoline prices have dropped below $4/gallon and the stock market began the process of recovery. While this is good news, we need alternate sources of energy. I feel that wind, solar, and geothermal have much to offer.
In other news, housing prices are still dropping. Houses have dropped in value more than expected. The drop in may was the biggest ever with 20 city index down 16.8% FOR THE MONTH OF MAY and in miami the price of a home fell 28.3%!

Where I live the price of gasoline has finally dropped down below $4/gallon nd should hit $3.75 soon. I saw that average gasoline price for the US today was $3.96/gallon. Fiannly we are getting some relief from the high prices.
I predicted that politician would try to keep gasoline prices under $4/gallon this year due to the elections, but come next year expect things to get real bad as a decline in the dollar could boost gas prices above $5/gal in event of trouble.
The Saudis are running out of spare capacity and 200 dollar a barrel crude is just around the corner. Peak oil is not a hoax, this is but a small calm before the storm. Stock up on food & fuel.

Mortage meltdown is still on going with banks in trouble. Foreclosure figures up again as rates have risen 120% and things are getting worse as the engine of the economy slows down. Not only are more houses for sales, but the number of qualified buyers is dropping as banks tighten lending. This perfect storm is going to rip apart the markets.
Last year a realtor told me that he had for sale hundreds of lots, this year thousands of lots, but no real buyers because people are not building new homes. The only buyers are speculators who are betting that property prices will rebound. Well, that may be a long way off.

American Express is experiencing financial difficulty as the economy gets worse. The company has been hit hard by the increase in defaults and rising inflation will eat into profits. Amex had earlier outsourced much of its workforce but a declining dollar is now damaging the company.

Mounting job losses for the last six months and our economic crisis will cause unemployement rate to break six percent soon. However, real unemployement is closer to twelve percent. A recent survey showed 11% of respondents were without work.
Part of the problem is rising fuel costs. The cost of heating a home in Boston is now over $4,000.00 per year and things are getting worse as oil prices rise to record highs. This leaves little money for food which is getting more expensive due to rising fuel costs as well as the floods which destroyed 20% of the corn crop. Add to this transportation is affected by oil hitting record highs over $140/b and some say it will go over 200 before th year is out.
I believe we will see a depression or even a megapression.

Shares of General Motors are at their lowest level in 54 years. There is talk of GM bankruptcy in the next few months. Sales have plunged for Pick up trucks and SUV trucks. Last year GM lost 39 billion dollars.
The reason for the poor sales is high oil prices. Today the price of oil shot above $146/b and it ism making people think twice about buying dib gas guzzlers. I predicted that the SUV would rust on the car lot.
Posted by HDRKID at 5:33:00 AM 0 comments
Oil prices rose above 143/b and gasoline is at a record high today. Even with extra Saudi oil we face a hot summer of high energy prices. I expect to be followed by a bitter cold winter due to high heating oil prices.
All attempts to conserve energy should be made to increase as the world supply of petroleum has clearly passed its peak. I predict that unless dramatic new measures are taken we could see 200 dollar a barrel oil by next year.

In a power shock to the pocket book, consumers will pay 29% more this year for electricity due to high fuel prices. Your light bill is going up. And soon all those people who talked about electric cars being the answer will start to wonder when blackouts become frequent.
It seems that we have not built enough power plants. In fact, due to regulations electrical companies have dragged their feet on building new big coal fired generators. And now wth new environmental regulations expect even fewer plants to be under construction.
That said coal double in price this year, oil is at a record high, and natural gas is up 50%. This means that you will have to pay more for electricity, so energy conservation should become more common.

The terrible flood of 2008 is destroying riverside towns and ruining fields. It is now too late for farmers to replant and the existing corn crop is underwater.

Today oil is down $123/b from a record high of $135/b last week. Also, where I live gasoline is down from $3.99/gallon to $3.87 today. I am very happy. There where people predicting that gas would hit $6/gal this year.
Future price of oil will go over $200/b but not right now. Also, we face strong hurricanes due to climate change caused by global warming.

Well, some say that the future is biofuels, but is this so? Let's look at corn to ethanol. It takes more energy to produce than uou get out. Also the land cannot be used to grow food.
A better solution is windmills and solar energy, but to use ag waste as a fuel might be common in the future.
Posted by HDRKID at 9:55:00 PM 1 comments
Oil prices are $10 off record high and keep falling. The dollar got stronger and also demand for petroleum products is down. This is added to worries of am economic slowdown decreasing the demand even further. Speculators are hitting the exit button. In fact, many believe that the oil bubble has burst.
This said, the price of oil will resume its uphill climb soon. Get ready for $5/gal gas in the near future.
Posted by HDRKID at 9:00:00 AM 0 comments
In is a crisis situation as global leaders face rsing food prices due to the conversion of corn to ethanol. The biggest problem is that many of the worlds poor now face shortages of grain. The so called grain drain is affecting the lives of the city dwellers in distant lands.
As more and more land is divcerted to produce corn to ethanol we see now that other grains such as wheat are more expensive. The problem is that the energy shortage may create a food shortage on a global scale. I predict that a massive food riot will wake people up to what is going on.
Posted by HDRKID at 8:03:00 AM 0 comments
World food prices are super high as more and more is converted into fuel. This grain drain is hitting the poor. Many people see biofuels as a way out of the current dependence on foreign oil, but making fuel out of food causes the world poor to starve.

The government is investigating manipulation of oil prices. Some say it is all supply and demand, but I feel that we are being taken to the cleaners. Today gasoline at sunoco was $3.92/gallon and it is heading closer to that magical $4/gal for gas as summer driving increases.
Some say that $130/b oil is a bubble, but I feel that soon we shall see oil hit 200 and keep going. Perhaps this will be much sooner than you think as the world situation gets worse by the minute.
Posted by HDRKID at 8:36:00 PM 0 comments
Citing market manipulation of oil prices, the government want to launch an investigation to uncover how the cost of fuel is being determined. It is possible that speculators have bid up the price of petroleum, but I feel that peak oil is here.
Most people are not aware of how bad things are, future oil prices will soar due to a decrease in supply and an increase in demand as nations like India and China move away from the bicycle economy to an automobile economy. The transition from bike to car means a lot more demand for gasoline.

Cook large quantities and keep excess in refrigerator.
Use hot water rather than cold in making a soup.
Eat smaller portions.
It also helps to use a small stove and oven unit as these are less expensive and use less fuel. Both food and fuel have gone up in price, but we can try to be frugal and not waste either one.

It seems that every day oil sets a new record. Today oil rose over $135/barrel topping yesterday's $133/b and on its way to over $200/b. This is very bad new for any economic view. Even the most sanguine investors know this is destroying the purchasing power of consumers.
Some say speculative fever is turning the oil pit into a feeding frenzy, but oil smashed $135 on supply shortages. In order words we are running out of oil. The move to convert corn to ethanol has sent food prices soaring, Food to fuel is a fuelish idea, soon we will have little of either. I predict massive shortages in the future of both food & fuel.

Oil today hit $133/barrel an all time high. The pain at the pump is becoming unbearable. Oil exec are blamed for the record high prices. People wants prices to come down, but soaring demand will cause a rise in energy prices.
The move to alternative energy is now taking place. In the future we will use electric cars. Fusion will generate much of the electricity, and also solar and wind power.

What if gasoline went to ten dollars a gallon? Think that is impossible, well over in Europe it is almost that high ight now. I predict a lot more microcars and scooters on the street as gasoline shoots up in price.

I predict that Obama will lose Kentucky. His campaign is falling apart. He thought he was prez already and let down his guard. Pride cometh before a fall. BTW, his attack on Bush backfire. Clinton wins another one.

Fusionman flies over the Alps with a jetpack on his back, a jet powered wing made of kevlar. He can soar at 120mph and be all the rage of europe. This swiss flier is the next wave in single person aircraft. The future is here and it is going to be fun.

A major win in WV by Clinton helps turn the tide in her favor. Well, now we are seeing that the race is not over. Clinton is back!

The largest race in the world is a magnet for terror types. The government is trying to calm people down, but Indy 500 is now a target for terror.

American Insurance Group, world largest insurance company, had a huge loss of 7.8 billion dollars this quarter. It sent the financial world into a tail spin. This news sent the DOW tumbing down. Well, seems like we are in a recession with AIG reporting its record loss of 7.8 billion dollars, it greatest quarterly loss in history and also its second straight quarterly loss. AIG is now short on cash.
The one two punch of mortgage meltdown and surging energy prices have destroyed the economy. People have less money to buy things and banks refuse to lend them any. In other news FEDEX is reeling from high avaition fuel prices and is also declaring a loss. The rise in gasoline prices is creating inflation. I predict massives losses in the stock market as high fuel prices causes customers to rein in spending.

Crude oil rallies to a record high over $126 per barrel and the speculators see $150/b in sight. The talk is of an oil bubble much like the housing bubble of 2005. It is estimated that the prices is way above demand.
Let's time travel back ten years ago (1998) crude oil was only $12/barrel and gasoline was selling under $1/gallon. Clinton was president back then, now Bush a Texas oil man is president and now oil is over 120 "ten times as much" and gas is almost $4/gal. Exxon has record profits of over 60 billion. The decline in the US dollar has also helped to make gas more expensive. As John Titor said - get a bicycle.
Future price of gasoline will be $5/gal soon at this rate. We are seeing a sea change in politics as Obama laughs at the gas tax holiday, while Clinton and McCain support relief for the poor.

One debunker says that peak oil is a hoax and that we will soon see $2/gal gas when the oil bubble bursts. According to him we are swimming in oil and speculators drove up oil prices much like they did we real estate.
Well, my prediction is that short term you may see a drop in oil prices, the long term outlook is up. Production of oil is down and demand is up.

High oil prices have hurt the economy hitting casinos hard. With gasoline at over $4/gallon in some places many people are not driving to the casino. They are using their money to buy needed food & fuel which is sky high.
As prices for food & fuel go up we will see fewer people at the car tables and slots, but what is the future of casinos?
I predict that people will be less interested in money and more psychic than now so it will be impossible to play games of chance.

One of the worst disasters in history, a cyclone hit Myanmar(burma) and has destroyed most of the country. The military dictatorship is tottering. Most homes are without roofs and cities without power.
Debunkers may wonder why John Titor did not mention this terrible event. He stayed away from weather forecasts. I on the other hand predicted that global warming would cause superstorm that would kill millions.

In the 21st century few of us would believe that pirate ships still exist, that those colorful characters with their parrots and peg legs are still a part of our reality. That pirates the stuff of fantasy are real. Well, they are. A group of Somali Pirates captured a Danish captain and his crew. It seems that the US is still having to deal with pirates on the high seas.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Remenber deadmail and deadsearch, well, now deadhoo. It seems that the microsoft yahoo deal is over. Jerry Yang is celebrating. Ballmer is angy.
According to YAHOO they will partner with GOOGLE and leave the Redmond giant behind. Perchance we shall se a new player emerge in the future.

Debunkers claim that global warming is junk science. They refute the melting polar icecaps as a natural phenomena and claim humans cannot alter the global climate. However global warming ia real much like peak oil is real.
Ignoring a problem does not make it go away.

Finally, gasoline prices are falling. The drop in demand is causing a drop in price. Today is a great day. The prices are dropping.

"President Bush is the most unpopular president in modern American history." says CNN. He is now a historical figure. Well, now we see that more people disapprove of President Bush than any other president in history. Not quite the way he wished to be remembered, I am sure!
The next president, Hillary, will be worse, if that is possible.
