My 2007 Predictions

LCD beats Plasma. At best buy more LCD TV units sold than all other formats combined.
HD-DVD beats bluray. Well, 578,000 HD DVD and 370,000 Blu-ray players were sold in 2007.

Gas over $3/gal. A miss, it is now 2.99 9/10 off by a 1/10 of a penny.
Oil over 100/b another miss it got as high as 99.60 but never broke 100.

Apple over 100 - big hit
Google over 600 - big hit
Trouble for GM - This year GM lost 39 billion.
Hybrids do well. Big hit. Prius sales are way up.
Lithium ion batteries replaces Nickle Metal in years to come.
High speed internet afforable. Back in 2005 I was paying $200/mo for broadband internet, now I only pay $10/mo.
Terabyte drives out in 2007. As late as mid may this year debunkers were laughing, but you can pick one up at best buy today.
Laptops for under $500 in 2007. Office Depot had some on sale for $399. Desktops for $299.

My prediction of trouble in real estate markets was a super hit.
The biggest hit of all was GOLD. I told people in 2001 to buy Gold. It is now over $833 an ounce.
My prediction that it would go over 1000/oz in 2009 looks a lot more possible now.

Even when I have a miss, it is not off by much.

Apple moves into movies

Using Itunes Apple will now allow people to download movies. The future is now. I see more people downloading films in the future. We will see more movies over the internet and fewer on HD DVD.

greatest movies of all time

THere are many great films in the cinema, movies that are the all time classics are few and far between. It is rare that you can tell that a movie will stand the test of time. That in the future people will remember it when so many other movies are long collecting cobwebs on some dusty shelf.

Still, there are a few movies that define our age and speak to generations about our time.

Toyota to become worlds largest automaker

With cars like the energy efficient Toyota Prius Hybrid Toyota is well on its way to claiming the high ground in the coming car wars. Toyota plans to move nearly ten million vehicles in 2008 making it the leader.

This is good news for green consumers, but terrible news for GM with is monster gigantor SUV trucks. GM lost 39 billion this year, yes, that is billion with a "B".

HDRTV - the Future of Television

It is not longer cool to call the HDR (High Dynamic Range) a TV, so they are called HDR displays. Perhaps this will cause confusioh with Steven Gibbs HDR, a very different product.

The HDR inventor Steven Gibbs created a device called the Hyper Dimensional Resonator bqck in 1985 many years before the LCD TV craze, well now the HDR display is supposed to be better than a plasma screen.

Keep looking up.

Food Prices Rise

There is a dramatic decline in the dollar causing agricultural products to cost more. Wheat price is at a record $10/bushel and both corn and beans are at records as well. Food will become more expensive.

Inflation Surging

The high cost of oil is driving up prices and we see an increase in core inflation. Treasury prices fell for the third straight day. This is a very troubling scene with wages low and oil high the economy is in trouble.

What does the future hold?

To see tomorrow, let's take a look at how we got here. Look back ten years ago at the happy times in Clintonian America.

It was the best of times and the worst of times. The economy was roaring like the roaring 20's, but soon the stock market crashed and 911 happened. We are only now slowly digging out.

It will be perhaps Hillary Clinton that will lead us to prosperity. I hope so. The last few years of $3/gal and $100/oil are no fun at all. We need a new teams in the town. One that understands we must not spend more than we have.

Arctic is melting

Global warming is causing the polar icecap to melt. This year for the first time in recorded history the northwest passage was ice free. We are seeing an ominous arctic melt.

The situation is bad because it is a vicious circle. As more ice melts the remaing open ocean absorbs even more solar radiation; add to that the climate change is bringing warmer surface temperatures.

In fact, our biggest problm is that sea ice reflects 80% of the suns energy back into space; whereas, open ocean absorbs 90% of solar radiation and reflects back only 10% of the light that hits it. So as more ice melts it drives the process to melt even more.

Expensive gasoline, YES!

Yesterday I was complaining about paying $3.47/gallon of gasoline, and today the price shot up to $3.55/gallon. We are looking at $4/gal of gas in the near future. It keep going up like a rocket...

Making the top ten of cities with most expensive gasoline prices are NYC, LA, miami, and Chicago. These big cities have prices higher than we would expect.

Ethanol will not rescue us as few cars are E85 and there is not enough capacity to convert corn into fuel. We need to move to electric cars and use solar power to generate electricity as well as wind power.

Both HDRusers.com & FluxCap.com down

Today, both HDRusers.com & FluxCap.com got hacked. It seems the debunkers are angry. The sites dealing with the HDR are getting smashed. Hope they are back up tomorrow.

BTW, somebody is posting garbage on HDRKID.com forum and they do not stop...

A company from russia is buying blogger competitor LiveJournal. This is interesting as we move into the future the world will see russia become more powerful and assertive...

Here is hoping that all goes well. Livejournal is an XLent property for a high tech firm to use to buy a new infrastructure for a new tomorrow.

Warmer World

See how a warmer world will affect you. Global warming is real and its effects will soon being to alter the climate of a hothouse earth.

With the amount of greenhouse gases we can expect temperature to rise and that will melt the polar icecap. The coasts will be flooded and greater evaporation will cause storms to be intense.

Congress raises fuel standard to 35mpg by 2020

In a dramatic attempt to increase efficiency congress voted to raise fuel standards to 35mpg by 2020. What does this mean?

Well, the most efficient car GM has is the Korean made Chevy Aveo with gets 34mpg highway / 27 mpg city. In contrast the hybrid car Toyota Prius gets about 60mpg. The current fuel average for US cars & trucks is about 20mpg. In contrast in Japan it is 45mpg; even Europe has 37mpg now and plans to reach 50mpg by 2009.

Sadly, the retrograde mentality of GM has made it lose 39 billion dollars this year and it might go under. People are not buying the Gigantor SUV trucks anymore. GM should have focused on producing hybrids, not hummers.

Chavez threatens to cut off US oil

President, or shall I say dictator of Venzuela Hugo Chavez threatened to stop the flow of oil to America if he was questioned. Expect the prices at the pump to increase from uncertainty if there are any disruption in the flow of petroleum products.

John Titor said "Get a bicycle!"

Oil Leak ruins beaches in mexico

A large leak of oil ruins beaches in the gulf of mexico. This leak was detected after a storm. We now see month of repair and a large spill that will damage the beaches of the sunny coast. This ecodisaster is one of the high costs of oil.

homes - worst price drop in 37 years

The prices have fallen and are still falling. We see no end in sight to this mortgage meltdown. The price of new houses has fallen in what is the worst drop in 37 years.

If you had know this fact, you could have sold your house in 2004, bought gold with the money and buy two houses in 2009, or better yet a house twice the size. I predicted a decline in the value of homes back in 2004. The debunkers laughed, now they claim that it was obvious. Well, tell that to the banks, many of which have multibillion dollar losses.

Is the Fed hiding trillions in debt?

What if the situation is worse that we are told? Could it be the what se see is just the tip of the iceberg? One big enough to sink the largest economy, a vitual "unsinkable" Titanic of a country. ICEBERG AHEAD!!!

In 2007 the guv declared a deficit of $162.8 billion, but it was actually closer to 1/2 a trillion dollars. Using tricks they can move money around. As a result we may be in far worse shape than we thought.

Robots are here

The Roomba Irobot is a small vacuum cleaner that has artificial intelligence. This little red robot can detect stairs, and if a floor is hardwood or a soft carpet. This nifty device makes life easier for humans and shows us the first practical application of robotics technology for the home.

That said, we now can see what a robot can do. Actually the company irobot.com has also created tactical robots for use in Iraq. There warfare weapons are the dark side of the cute cuddly little red vacuum cleaner. It has a big brother that is out for blood.

One Terabyte Hard Drives are here

The debunkers laughed about the one terabyte hard drive, but here it is on schedule. You have plenty of room for storage. In fact, you may want to get two - just kidding. It is great for people who do video editing.

Investors turn to rentals

With the real estate market down, many investors are finding tenants to fill their empty properties. Gone are the overgrown lawns of the formerly abandoned houses as new owners try to spruce them up and rent them out.

Still, some home owners say that this is leading to a decline in property values because renters do not maintain the houses as well as owners would. Some communities are passing laws against renters.

Using Amazon MTURK to make money

First you become an Amazon Affiliate and then you can make money by doing HITs which are jobs using your computer. The program (Amazon Mechanical Turk) is easy to use and the money is direct deposit into your own checking account.

Technology gives us many opportunities, but we must step upto the plate. I have seen many people from India come to the US and get high paying jobs as {computer programmers, doctors, and pharmacist}, that said there is a growing income disparity between the races. Do you know that the wage gap between black and whites has grown in the last few years?

Mostly we see that in terms of real dollars poor families are worse off now than in years past due to H1B visas, outsourcing of work, and offshoring of factories. The computer should create a level playing field for all because Amazon MTURK cannot tell what color you are.

The new gold rush

In the heart of the Amazon mud splattered men are digging for gold with their bare hands. The price of gold on the world market has soared over $800/oz creating an auric hysteria. Its gold fever boys. This is no flash in the pan, the gold is real. The Eldorado do Juma wildcat gold mine in the Brazilian Amazon is like a modern Klondike. The rich earth is full of golden nuggets and the roughly 10,000 men have hit pay dirt.

A friend of mine who pans for gold in Alska says that finding two to three ounces per day is easy. He plans to hit the gold fields early next spring. Can't wait to see how it all PANS out.

Vegetable oil van

A man with a vegetable oil van says that he saves nine thousand a year on fuel. His green machine runs on waste vegetable oil he collects from restaurants. The conversion to waste vegetable oil means he can pour crisco into his tank.

It reminds me of that old VW van hippie car in the Disney Pixar movie CARS. His name was Fillmore and he was always arguing with Sarge. Fillmore said "Drink organic fuel man!"

each other. It was Hillary vs Obama. Well, Hill is way ahead. It looks like snow white and the seven dwarfs. These tiny little men are angry. They need to grow up. I believe that we will not get a serious challenger to Hillary.

The Democratic Debate only helped to further weaken the party. People are now less inclined to vote for Hill & Bill, but without helping Edwards or Obama. The next few weeks will tell if they can break out of the 20's for Barak, or the teens for John.

Cities are hit hard with record foreclosures. It is not just Florida and California, in Detroit foreclosures are up 92% over last year and GM just declared 39 billion in losses. The economy is going into a tail spin as more and more banks fail.

We face a crisis situation, meanwhile in Washinton politician focus on Iraq and terror. The big terror is no jobs, no home, no food.

DOWn again today!

The declining DOW divebombs to yet another low losing 200 points today as news of mortgage meltdown starts to seep into other areas. No longer are banks and builders the only ones affected now the entire economy is in trouble.

I predict that more 200 point down days are in store. The dow dropped 200 points for a reason. The reason is not just the high price of oil or the declining dollar, but that the US economy has been hollowed out by greedy exectives who moved our factories offshore. All this outsourcing to India and China is now killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.

SMART car comes to the US

It is a small subcompact that is so tiny it seems to be too small to be a Mercedes, yet it is. This minicar called the Smart car is actually quite comfortable. I had one when I was living in Europe and it gets over 40 mpg. With the high price of gas it really is a SMART car.

This minicar fits well in tight parking places and drives well along the narrow winding roads of Europe, but I wonder if Amerioa is ready for the SMART. It is much smaller than a mini cooper and even smaller than the VW bug, but it sure is cute.

Garage Flooring

I have an old garage floor that is cracked and ugly. The worst part is that it is stained. There are big oil stains on my floor. They did not go away with detergent. Then I found out about garage floors. I have been looking at some black diamond garage flooring, also at some concrete sealer to prevent the cracking. One problem I have is that previous coatings have started to peel. A thin epoxy basecoat could probably help here.

Carguygarage is the flooring expert, but they not only have flooring, but also all kinds of cabinets for storage. I need a lot of storage. My garage is getting cluttered with all my stuff in it.

Wall Street down 360 points

The stock market moved sharply lower as Wall Street was hit by a weak dollar and record oil prices, also not helping were problems in the financial markets roiled by mortgage meltdown hitting banking firms hard. Wamu was down 17% and other banks are feeling the pain as Fannie Mae is refusing to buy their home lonas.

The situation got worse when China annouced it would begin to sell dollars and buy euros in an effort to get out of the weak currency. China sent the dollar down to a record low. Gold futures shot up ten dollars to $833.50 the highest it has been since 1980. However, the biggest news of the day was the record loss at GM - $39 Billion, a staggering amount that may sink that company.

Putin Warns USA of Missile Crisis

President Putin of russia warned Bush about a Missile Crisis in the near future. If we cannot solve the problem. It could be similar to the 1962 Cuban missle crisis when the world stood on the brink of war.

Plans to install a missile shield in Poland, once a former soviet satellite have the russians worried. It could lead to a confrontation, perhaps even war.

Biggest company in the world

Which is the biggest company in the world? Well it is not Exxon, it is PetroChina worth one trillion dollars - that is TRILLION with a "T". Exxon is worth less than half that. The Chinese oil giant stocks trade in Shanghai, Hong Kong and New York.

As we enter the new millennium we realize that we are living in a different world, one no longer dominated by Europeans. The center of power first moved west from Europe to America, and west again from America to Asia.

Citigroup CEO out

Charles Prince, the CEO of the biggest bank in the US - Citicorp has been fired. He is blamed for much of the subprime substandard performance of the bank. The real estate mortage meltdown hit Citigroup hard. The big bank lost billions, actually $11,000,000,000 - thats a lot of zeros, and now the bank has one less zero.

Charles Prince, earned, well, was paid just under $26 million in salary, bonuses and other compensation. FOR WHAT? The guy was a joke.

Both pilot & copilot fall asleep on redeye flight

Drowsy driving and its airborne counterpart "flying fatigue" are killers. The two pilots were way over speed and over altitude. The two airline pilots fell asleep on a flight from Baltimore to Denver. They quickly awoke to frantic calls from air traffic control.

Especially during the night it is easy to fall asleep in flight. The visual clues are gone and the gentle vibration can lull you into drowsy state where you are not 100% aware of your suroundings.

Man tried to blow up nuclear power plant

A man brought an explosive device to a the biggest electrical generating plant in the US - bigger than nine Hoover Dams. He wanted to blow up the Palos Verdes Nuclear Power Plant in Arizona. This would be a major terrorist act, worse than even Chernobyl.

The nuclear plant employee was stopped with the explosive device, a capped pipe, today at the Palos Verdes Nuclear Power Plant. This is the largest nuclear power plant in the nation.

Payday Loan Cash Advance

This year my gas furnace broke. First it was the capacitor, $100, then it was a problem with the heating element, and finally the blower broke. The grand total was $560. Things were a bit tight, not only that I was down to 5% in the tank and had to get a minimum order of propane which was $400.

It was cold in the house and my little space heater could barely keep the temperature in the 50’s, I was afraid the copper pipes might freeze.

There are times when a payday cash advance - can be a life saver. It can rescue you from a bad situation.

In addition to payday loans, there is also many exciting new products available over the internet. One of these product is personal loans.

You can apply for a cash advance loan over the internet. Filling out the loan application form takes only a few minutes of your time. So what are you waiting for? Call your payday loan company today!

Is Bush Crazy?

I am not saying that the president is crazy, but congressman Dennis Kucinich is questioning the mental health of the president. We have a situation where more and more people believe that the policies of this adminstration are leading us to war with iran. A war that could become WWIII.

Congressman Kucinich questions Bush's mental health based on statements made by the president about Iran and the possibility of nuclear war and WWIII. This has deeply troubled me and I am sure that I'm not the only one.

Oil Soars to a New Record High

I predicted that we would pay at the pump and boy do we ever. The average gallon of gasoline is back over $3/gal and rising. I tell you this because it seems so long ago, back in Jan 2007, this year it was $1.87/gallon, yes under $2/gal for gas, but now we are paying over three.

Today I paid $3.19 per gallon to fill up my tank. It was terrible. It was nearly $40 whereas in the beginning of this year I could fill it for about twenty. The declining dollar is causing a surge in oil prices. Also a decline in petroleum production is boosting costs to the max.

Merrill CEO to quit

Stan O'Neal, the first black CEO of Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, a New York-based brokerage firm will soon step down. This is because world's largest brokerage had its largest quarterly loss in history since it was founded over ninety years ago.

His role in getting Merrill to take on more mortgage debt during the global credit collapse may be in part responsible for the current crisis. We will soon see a move away from mortgage backed credit and toward less risky investments.

$100/b soon

Oil will hit $100/b soon. I predicted this would happen. Get ready for gasoline to go up in price, you will pay thru the hose. The average price for gasoline is now $2.80 per gallon, and I predict that soon within months you will pay over $3/gal for gas.

The problem is that $4/gal gas is coming soon. In fact, it will be here sooner than most think. The volatile Middle East will make this a reality.

science says global warming cause fires

Those men of science claim that global warming is causing wildfires like the fire in Southern California. Maybe, bu it is easy to pin the blame of greenhouse gases, but much of the blame lies with humans and their suppression of natural fires, so when a fire does occur it has a lot more leaf litter to burn.

Also, they are saying that the polar ice cap is melting. Greenland is losing ice at a rate that the ocean will rise three feet by 2100. This meter rise will flood coastal cities. Greenland has enough water in the form of galcial ice to raise sea levels some 23 feet and cause global devastation. We need to stop global warming now.

Arsonist started California fires

Police have evidence that an arsonist started the California fires. A $150,000 reward is available for evidence leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the 25,000 acre fire.

The point of origen of the Santiago fire is considered a potential crime scene. An ongoing investigation is yielding clues. The low humidity and heavy Santa Ana winds made the fire spread quickly.

Football Stadium used as shelter for fire victims

More than 12,000 were left homeless by raging south California fires. They are using the football stadium as a temporary shelter. The fires are still burning down homes.

It is a sad day in LA. People are crowded into temporary tents. The air is filled with acrid black smoke.

1/2 million people evacuate southern California due to wildfires

Tinder dry land and Santa Anna winds add up to a fire of the century. California is burning down because there are fires south from the border with Mexican all the way north to Los Angeles.

Never have I seen such a voracious blaze that is burning down houses and turning them to ash heaps. This fire is apocalyptic. I predict with global warming we will have more fires in the future.

Apple closes at record high

I predicted that Apple would break 200, well it is now at 174 per share and going up like a rocket to the asteroids. The debunkers who laughed at me, can now change their story to "That was obvious." The problem is that they did not invest in Apple.

It is easy to laugh at me, and when my prediction comes true claim that I did not predict anything, but I predicted that Apple would break 200. My prediction will soon come true, just like my prediction that Google would break 600 already has materialized.

Dow drops 367

Is was a brutal day on Wall Street. The high price of oil combined with a looming recession is causing investors to hit the EXIT button.

Housing starts plunge to 14 year low

Builders are not making as many houses as before. The prices of houses has also plunged. There is much less demand now. People are not able to sell houses. The real estate market is in real bad shape.

Many construction jobs are gone. This will cause more unemployment and a drag on the economy.

Al Gore wins Nobel Prize

Today, former VP Al Gore won the Nobel Prize due to his work on global warming. His movie "An Inconvenient Truth" will probably benefit from the talk about climate change. We face a crisis as the world goes warm.

Melting of the polar ice cap could drown Florida and other low lying areas like the nation of Holland. In fact, we see global warming as a problem, one we should solve.

Man arrested for feeding homeless

Eric Montanez was arrested and is in court for sharing his food with less fortunate homeless people. It is so sad that a person cannot share food with the less fortunate. Only an evil government passes laws against the poor. Are we Nazi Germany?

How can giving poor people food be illegal? All people should protest unjust laws. The rich and powerful have for far too long crushed the poor.

England pulling out of Iraq

Prime Minister Gordon Brown will cut British troops to 2500. This means the US is almost alone in the gulf. Everybody is cut and run. We are left holding the bag.

Boom in clean energy jobs

In the future there could be a boom in green tech jobs. Employers might want to expand into new technology that does not pollute and is friendly.

Solar and biofuel could help generate new jobs in the 21st century. As we move away from old tech to new tech many new positions will open. Jobs such as the installation of solar panels cannot be outsourced to India.

The price of corn used for ethanol has doubled since last year. It looks like the future is going to be green. I predict many new advances in clean tech for the future.

Equality decades away

It is calculated that euality for women is 73 years away. The good news is that we are slowly making progress. However, the road ahead is long and hard.

Many companies do not have even one woman on their board of directors, some of these companies like Bear Sterns are doing poorly. The old boys network is very retrograde in their thinking.

Unemployment up factory orders down

The economy is weak and becoming weaker. Factory orders are down. We see an increase in umemployment as companies close plants and lay off workers.

This follows a terrible real estate market and financial problems for banks. The future is cloudy...

Big Banks hurt bad

Citigroup says 3rd quarter profits down 60% from last year and we are not out of the woods yet. It appears that other banks are also reporting that profits are down. The mortgage disaster gets worse and worse.

If something is not done, property prices will continue to plunge and the banks will be swimming in red ink. You can BANK on it!

Ghouliani stops at English Only restaurant

Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani to stop at Cheesecake shop that is English Only. I can still remember reading about restaurants in the 50's that had signs that said "No Coloreds". Racism is alive and well in the 21st century.

We should treat all people with courtesy and compassion. What if a tourist does not know English? This sign is very racist and anti foreigner. We need to march forward into the 21st century, not retreat backwards to the 19th.

Companies not paying overtime

In the current environment of DOWNsizing and OUTsourcing, many workers are DOWN and OUT. Those lucky enough to still have their jobs are forced to work more than forty hours, often sixty hours per week, but not paid overtime. If they complain they are then fired for "performance reasons" and not eligible for unemployment.

Companies not paying overtime. They are using excuses to make people work more and more whle they pay less and less. The result is that many workers that used to be paid hourly are now salary.

Republican Debate at Howard

Today there was a Republican presidential debate at Howard University. Four candidates, Rudy, Mitt, Fred, and John chose not to appear. The reason is that they do not feel that their views are welcome there.

NASA creates computer model for other Earths

NASA has found that most planets near us are gas giants like Jupiter and Saturn. Small planets like Earth are rare. There are also no water planets.

Iranian Leader Addresses Students

The Lion of Iran will roar today in New York. He talks peace, but his actions are to build WMD. How can we believe that he wants atoms for peaceful purposes? Are we that foolish? Only time will tell.

I predict that they will soon be a military confrontation between Israel and Iran. It is bound to happen.

Google Adds Presentation Tool

Google Docs already has a spreadsheet and word processor, now a new presentation tool has been added to help compete with Microsoft Office. This is a big plus for sales people who might have to do changes to a presentation over the internet.

This new tool will make life easier for people who use the internet. I hope Google will create a tool to compete with the old Frontpage.

Payday Loan

Payday Loan Rescue is a company that offers quick cash in a flash. Sometimes we need money for a big emergency. For example, this year I was in an accident and the body shop wanted $850. This may not seem like much, but I knew I need my vehicle up and running. The rental car was costing $25/day.

The advantage of a payday loan is that you can get cash for quick emergencies. A regular bank loan takes a long time to approve. Friends can loan you small amounts such as $20 if you forgot your wallet, but for a big crisis event a payday loan is like a lifeboat in the ocean.

Payday loan rescue is better than a payday loan store because it is open 24/7 and you do not need to drive miles to the store. This is a temporary solution to your cash flow problem.

If you need a some quick cash, you should apply today for a super fast Pay Day Loan.

Oil at record high

Today oil broke the $80 barrier. It is causing the economy to slow down as well as driving inflation. People are forced to pay at the pump more and more. The price of gasoline will soon reflect the high priced of oil. Refiners will be forced to pass on the high costs to customers.

My suggestion is the electric car. We still have hydro power and inexpensive electricity. Using an electric car can save you money. Plug in hybrids are the future.

Slot Machines in Miami?

OJ arrested

Yes folks, it seems that OJ Simpson was arrested today. We are not sure what the charges will be. This has nothing to do with the death of his ex-wife or her friend Ron Goldman. That issue is still unresolved, but rather with a strange set of circumstances in a Las Vegas casino.

It is alledged that OJ was involved in an armed robbery. By the way, OJ's book about the death of his ex-wife is out in bookstores. It is called "If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer"

Apple sells one millionth iphone

Yes folks, the tech titan APPLE has scored a big one with the iphone. Today Apple sold the one millions iphone, just 74 days after the big debut. A heady time in history to see new technology.

I predicted years ago that Apple would dominate in the high tech cell phone market. That day will soon come. Get ready for other products such as the iCar. You are laughing? Remember how people laughed about the ipod and iphone? Are they laughing now?

Who could be president in 2008, besides Hillary?

Romney, is number one in Iowa, he holds a 12 point lead over both Thompson and Giuliani in the Hawkeye State, 28 percent to 16 percent.

Mitt also bests Rudy in New Hampshire with a 5 point lead, 28 percent to 23 percent. So the mormon is the man to beat. Sadly Thompson is trailing badly and does not have the cash to close the gap.

In other news, McCain is fifth in Iowa behind 4th place Hucabee.

In what appears to be sabotage, six explosions hit gas pipelines in Mexico. The flames could be seen from six miles away. The mexican oil company pemex believe that a left wing group is responsible. A left-wing guerrilla group known as the People's Revolutionary Army, believe to be linked to Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden may be responsible. The stock market is taking a hit as this means higher gas prices. Right now, mexican police are investigating.

It seems that our bad boy osama is again making noises about attack. We are worried about the bearded militant muslim. Perhaps it is all smoke, but where there is smoke there is fire.

The whole thing about his the message that he did announce so near September 11 gives me an eerie feeling like he might be up to no good as usual. We should catch him and bring him to justice.

Mummy of Inca Girl Sacrificed to the Corn God

A museum in Salta, Argentina has the well preserved mummy of an Inca Girl sacrificed to the corn gods on display. Many native groups are opposed to the display and want her buried.

This we preserved specimen shows us what life was like in pre-columbian days. The mighty Inca empire stretched from Argentina to Peru. It was one of the biggest empires in the world. A strange mystery is that this mighty empire did not use the wheel. It has been found in childrens toys, but no practical use was made.

Also although llamas were used as pack animals, they did not pull sleds or carry people.

Will he stay or will he go?

Senator Craig R-Idaho is now having some second thoughts about leaving. He wants to stay until the investigation is over. The senator was accused of soliciting in a mens room by tapping his foot.

The senator claims that did not occur. He want to stay on as in his position because a fellow senator Arlan Spector told him to fight. We are going to see some interesting evidence.

Dow Down Again

If fell almost 250 points today, 249.97 to be exact. The housing market is affecting the stock market. It appears that we are in for some stormy weather. Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo said today "The current downturn in the U.S. housing and mortgage markets is certainly the most severe in the contemporary history of our industry,"

Still, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Some say that the markets will recover in early 2009. Perhaps, but this is not good new for people facing foreclosure.

Fuel price rise

Yesterday I paid $3.099 for each gallon of gasoline. The price of fuel is rising. This is bad for the economy because it means that there is less money for other purchases.

People are forced to pay sky high prices for fuel.

300 mpg car

Yes folk, step right up, here it is the fabled amazing economical 300 mpg car. It is real. Actually, it looks like an airplane without wings. The price is only $20,00o so even the lowly proles can afford one. Strange place, the future.

Flying cars in your future?

In the future there will be flying cars. People will use unconventional domains of transportation. Our current system of roads and bridges will be replaced by aerial transport.

The Moller Skycar is but one entrant into the already crowded field of would be flying cars that will one day fill our skies with joy.

Oil prices are near record high

Oil will soon go over $80/b as the demand continues to increase while production of oil goes down. We will soon face gasoline prices that are at all time highs. I predict over $4/gal gas before the end of the decade.

Also, hurricanes will damage the offshore oil platforms reducing our supply of petroleum products.

In other news, cat 5 hurricane Felix slammed into Nicaragua, and do serious damage. This super storm is part of global warming causing more killer hurricanes.

Housing cost for poor on rise

Even with the dramartic decline in the price of houses, the housing costs for poor people are still going up. The number of poor people who pay more than 50% of their income on a house has increased.

This is a major problem for low income household who had dreams of owning a home. Also interest rates are now going up for low income individuals if they can even find a loan.

Housing market affects stock market

The subprime spillover is now affecting the stock market. The liquidity crunch causes banks to fail and business to panic. The reality is that we have a twin decline in both housing and financial markets are subprime spillover casualties.

The housing market is affected by falling prices of homes. The rush to sell in both the housing market and stock market will drive down prices. We have a record supply of unsold homes and dramatic decline in people buying houses due to bank not extending credit.

Another Prediction from hdrkid comes true

I predicted that in 2007 terabyte drives would become available, also that they would be available in ordinary stores and for less than $500.

Well, here they are.

Gonalez resigns

Step right up folks. Another prediction by hdrkid has come true. Alberto Gonzalez resigned today. He will be leaving September 16, 2007.

The debunkers laughed and laughed when I predicted it. Now they can claim it was obvious, but CNN says Gonzales aides at the highest level and other top-level officials knew nothing about the announcement in advance, Justice Department sources told CNN.

As usual the debunkers are wrong again.

aerocar

They say the future ain't what it used to be. Yogi Berra said that. Well, we had a flying car fifty years ago called the Aerocar. So where is my flying car?

Mean Dean slams mexico twice

The hurricane loves to smash things. Well, tomorrow it will smash the oil rigs in the gulf. Get ready for higher oil prices.

So sad for all the people who lost power and had their house smashed. MEAN DEAN we hate you.

Monday, August 20, 2007

Mean Dean

185 mph monster Hurricane Dean is now hitting the coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. This megacane is doing serious damage to the whole globe. Mexican oil workers were evacuated from offshore oil platforms. This monster cyclone will do some damage. It seems that Mexico is going to get a double dose of Dean, first smashing the Yucantan Peninsula, going over the gulf and then hitting the Mixican Mainland.

What a terrible wind we have. And super storms will get worse with global warming. We can expect twice the normal number of hurricanes and far more cat 5 storms than before.

Cold Winter is coming

Even the foolish bambi deer know that winter is coming. They are eating and getting ready. You can feel the cold chill in the air as winter gets closer. I predict that things are going to be a bit chilly.

So dress warm!

Saturday, August 18, 2007

Melting the polar ice cap

This year, 2007 will have a record melting of the polar ice cap. As global temperatures go up more and more ice melts in the high arctic. This creates a major problem because we will see a rise in sea level affecting sea shores around the world.

When hurricanes hit coastal areas the damage will be worse. Also low level states such as Florida will be affected. However the worst problem is that the polar ice cap melting acts as a feedback loop. The more ice melts, the more area of water is exposed to solar radiation. Water soaks up heat like a sponge, where as snow reflects it. We could see some warm winters in the future.

Thinks look bleak for the bankers

I want to introduce bankers to a new breakfast cereal. It is called "credit crunch" and tastes terrible. Even flame broiled over an open flame or slowly simmered in milk, credit crunch is less substancial than snowflakes on a warm day.

We need to have a solid foundation for our credit market, not a house of straw built on a sand bar, which will float away at the first storm.

Dow dives 200 points

Terrible Tuesday, they call it. The market is DOWn over 200 points. As for the debunkers that make fun of my prediction, WELL.

It is time to realize that the stock market is crashing and all the debunkers can do now is say that my predictions were obvious. The same debunkers that laughed are now crying as their stock protfolios evaporate.

WAKE UP, market is crashing. I told you!

Gas Prices

Today the price of gasoline was down to $2.59 / gallon. It was as high as $3.79 / gallon this year. It almost broke the four dollar barrier.

My prediction was that it would break $3/gal for gas. I made the prediction when gasoline was $1.87 /gallon. The debunkers laughed, and when it broke the $3/gal barrier they did the debunker flipflop and now claim oh, it will soon be over $5/gal.

Well, not so fast. It will break $4/gal in this decade, but not right away.

World Markets Crash

In sympathy following the disastrous decline of the US financial markets, European stocks recorded their largest drop in four years. We are seeing market meltdown across the board as record number of subprime mortgages enter default and banks are forced to sell foreclosed houses.

The world faces a grim economic forecast as mortgage meltdown in the US financial markets spreads like a disease to the rest of the globe. Most financial institutions have some exposure to the subprime debacle. Wall Street is now very wary of banks that loan money to people with less than stellar credit.

I predict that things will get much worse before they get any better. This is just the start of what will soon become an ugly chapter in our story.

Friday, August 10, 2007

Dow dips today

It went DOWn only thirty one points in contrast to yesterday's 387 point drop. It has been a brutal week for traders. There is blood on the street - WALL STREET. It is almost unBEARable and that's no BULL. Right now, we are seeing a crashing market. Banks are closing like it is the great depression. George Bush is almost as popular as Herbert Hoover.

The last few weeks have been horrible with triple digit DOWn days. Soon, the stock brokers will be jumping out of windows like in 1929.

Hurricanes doubled from 4 to 8 per year due to global warming

Yes folks, we now have double the number of hurricanes and they are stronger due to warmer water in the ocean. Also tropical storms have doubled due to global warming.

This is a terrible problem for people in the south close to the ocean. The price of insurance has skyrocketed. We need to build inland away from our coasts.

Hillary & Obama?

There are those predicting a Clinton Obama ticket in 2008. Still, it seems that this would hurt Hillary, not help her.

Obama has little appeal outside of the minority communitee and my cause her to lose votes. A much safer approach would be to pick John Edwards. Also, many think Hussein Obama is too green an "exotic" to be president.

The man with the funny name might doom the democrats against a Romney / Guiliani ticket.

The Flying Car

Actually flying cars have been around for over 40 years. See below a video of a flying car. The problem is that you cannot pop over to your friendly used car dealer and buy one. They are not for sale, this however will change in the future as cutting edge becomes common place.

Dow decline worst week ever

Meanwhile, oil is heading higher toward a record price.

Things are slowly spining out of control.

Saving Energy

Most of us have heard on TV that we should replace our Edison Lightbulbs knowns as incandescent light bulbs with Tesla Lights known as CFL (compact florescent lights). While, it is true that I prefer Tesla tech to Edison, in this case I must disagree.

The CFLs give off very little light and it is of poor quality. We see a thin blue light that cannot compete with the rich warm light of an ordinary bulb.

In fact, LED lights are even more energy efficient than CFL, but the brilliant bulbs give of a hard unpleasant glow which is both harsh and heavy. So, it is back to the drawing board boys.

Rightwing Reds

The right wing has long made fun of people like Senator Edward Kennedy who champions school busing while sending his own kids to private schools, but what about the caviar capitalists that shut down American factories and send the work down to Red China?
Our own champagne socialists who claim to be on the side of freedom, but help oppresive communist regimes stay in power.

Yes, the corporate executives who are constantly talking about making cuts, downsizing, and outsourcing. We need to DOWNsize their megasalaries of 200 million per year. We need to DOWNsize their megamansions of over 10,000 square feet of opulence.

These BMW bolsheviks who speak the language of capitalism, but do everything in their power to destroy America by sending our jobs to Red China, a country that has nuclear missle pointing at the heartland of the United States.

All they every talk about is making cuts. Well, why don't they start by cutting their own oversized salaries?

Dow Dives

There is blood on the street, WALL STREET. The dow is falling like a rock. I predicted that it would crash, now it is happening.

Investors are bailing out like its 1929.

What do Chinese Teens Want?

With over 1/4 of earth's population, China is taking the main view. The question is - What do Chinese Teens Want?

The answer is the same as everybody else - a house, a car, a good job, etc. They do want fashionable clothes and good music, but mostly to have a happy life.

Slowly, the world is getting a lot smaller.

Save Money + Help Environment

Telecommuting
is rapidly becoming popular. Using telecommuting workers save time and also money because they do not need to spend money on fuel, automobile insurance, and expensive repairs to their car. Many businesses are looking to telecommuting due to high gas prices.

We see a trend toward more work at home and less in the office. At first, many businesses were letting workers take one day off, but now many have their employees come in for a weekly meeting and stay at home the rest of the time.

In the future with superior technology we will no doubt see more people working from home. Already, broadband allows 2way communication of video.

Compact Florescent Bulbs
are taking over. Move over Edison bulb make way for the Tesla bulb. In addition to using alernate current instead of direct current, Tesla also use florescent lights. They use a lot less energy and regular Edison light bulbs as well as producing less heat.

This is great in the summer time as you save on the air conditioning bill. Also, compact florescent bulbs last a lot longer than incandescent lightbulbs. You can save money as well as energy.

A bright way to save money is to replace your regular incandescent lightbulbs with compact florescent lights CFL
. This is a very green light and not as cheerful as the old bulbs. I predict that LED lights will replace CFL as it is more energy efficient and better qualty.

World Tallest Building

The fabulous oil-rich kingdom of Dubai now has world's tallest building; taller even than the Taipei 101 in Taiwan.

Dubai, center of the United Arab Emirates, has become a thriving metropolis. The tower is a symbol of its global power.

This titanic tower known as Burj Dubai will be finished in late 2008. Arabs are proud of their architectural icon. At twice the height of New York's Empire State building, now the tallest building in New York City, the Burj Dubai Tower can be seen from 60 miles away.

Fake HDRs?

Today I got a call from Inventor Steven Gibbs, he says some people to make money are making cheap knock-offs of his HDR unit. He told me that these pretend HDR units are total fakes. He says that the people making them are not permited to do so.

You have heard of Rolex Replicas that are basically fakes that look close to the real thing, but different inside. Well now we have Hyper Dimensional Resonator Replicas.

There are several individuals making what seem like Hyper Dimensional Resonators. Many sell these fake HDR units over Ebay and falsely claim that Steven Gibbs built them.

YouTube takes over

Political campaigns are now affected by the power of the tube. The YouTubification of Politics has many candidates asking for voter opinions.

The truth is that I have noticed that they are not answering any questions. They are liars - typical politicians.

Rising Price of Oil

The price barrel of oil touched an 11-month high on Tuesday. We will soon see higher gas prices. Already where I live it is above $3/gal. Because gasoline is made from petroleum the higher price of oil means higher gas prices.

I stand by my prediction. We will see the price at the pump soar, by 2009 gasoline will swell over the $4/gallon mark. The world situation continues to unravel and fall apart. We will have in the near future a cascade of catastrophes and a deluge of disasters.

NK shuts down nuclear reactor

Finally, North Korea has shut down its atomic power plant and plutonium processing unit. The negociations took years, but we see light at the end of the tunnel.

Perhaps there is some hope after all.

Truck Driver is Serial Killer

It sound like the plot from the movie Suspect Zero about a trucker serial killer tracked by a remote viewer. Police in Tenn have detained the very mobile murderer and are checking to see how many victims there are.

Remote viewing can be used to solve crimes as Ed Dames says. It is a valued tool in the battle against crime.

Apple Stock

One of my big Predictions for 2007 was the success of the Apple Iphone. Not only did I predict that Apple stock would go up, even predicted that Apple stock going over 200 in 2009 was due to spectacular sales of Apples new product - the Iphone.

Motorola warns of loss

Not only did I predict the spectacular sales of the iphone years before it was announced, but also the effect on Nokia and Motorola. It seems that the people who would laugh at my predictions now have to face the fact that Motorola is forecasting a sales slowdown and a loss.

Meanwhile seems Apple is moving from ipods to iphones as its main engine. This cannot be good news for Motorola, its profits are already RAZR thin.

Summer attack possible

Official warn us that there is an increased risk of attack this summer by bad boys training in the Pakistan border area. We should remain on the alert for any unusual behavior. Right now airlines are under an orange alert.

Steven Gibbs predicted many incidents in the near future. We can only hope he is wrong. Still, lines at airports are long, airlines are under orange alert.

iphone nano

Apple will release a smaller iphone based on the ipod nano later this year. The new iphone should sell for about $299. It is estimated that this newer cheaper iphone should sell 20-50 million units seriously damaging both Nokia and Motorola.

When I predicted this in 2001 the reply was disbelief and catcalls. A cheaper iphone will rock the house. This iphone is essentially the way forward. The olskool cellular telephones will becomes as extinct as T- rex.

As always, when my prediction of Apple stock over 200 in 2009 comes true much like my prediction of Apple going over 100 in 2007, then the debunkers will say "That was obvious!" Well, then my question is - why didn't they purchase Apple stock?

Whitehouse denies pullout

Bush is still trying to push the surge. Many in congress feel a troop pull out is needed. Support for Iraq war is eroding in the US.

The situation in the Middle East gets worse everyday. We are seeing a shift in congress away from war and toward a decrease in US involvement. Only a major incident could keep US troops in the Middle East.

Perhaps something will happen soon.

Scientists believe that lead exposure, triggers crime

New research links exposure to lead to a rise in criminal behavior by teenagers. This may come as a surprise, but banning leaded gasoline has caused a decrease in violent criminal behavior. No more talk about broken homes or unwanted baby due to abortions being illegal.

In other news, a company has a free energy device on display that uses magnets. What is it that debunkers always say "That's impossible." We will see. Time will tell.

Gasoline will soon go over $3/gal

Enjoy the temporary dip below three dollars because gasoline prices will soon rise. The price of crude is over $70/b and rising due to production cuts in Iran & Nigeria. As the price of crude oil goes up, so will gasoline and other petroleum products.

The debunkers who were laughing will soon be crying all the way to the pump. What did they say? "Peak oil is a hoax." Sorry debunkers we really are running out of oil.

4th of July

Celebrate the freedom that was bought at a high cost in lives. From the revolutionary war to WWII. Today we look back at our history.

In other news, I don't know what it is about our timeline where we have the worst actors and singers who try to do both, but can do neither.

Take Mandy Moore, this zero talent singer looks like a hybrid between Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson, except she is stupider than Jessica Simpson and has even less talent than Britney, if that is possible.

Mandy Moore can't act, can't sing, can't dance. Her song "Wild Hopeless" is almost as horrible as her fashion design disasters - early ghetto. In movies she plays the girl next door. Well if the girl next door was that ugly, I would move.

No prison for Scooter Libby

Bush lets Libby walk. A sad day for America. We see a culture of corruption in DC.

Our nation is no longer under rule of law. Dennis Kucinich has called for Bush to be impeached, but Nancy Pelosi said - no.

Tighter security, airports near lockdown

US has implemented tighter security measures. Situation continues to get worse. Many people are getting worried.

We face a very bad situation. Things are falling apart.

British official intensify manhunt

After that last incident England is on high alert. Country is on the highest level of alert after the airport incident in Scotland.

Things are spinning out of control. A man shouting Allah set himself on fire.

Congress angry at Bush

Prez Bush faces contempt hearing. Things are not going well for the president. This could weaken an already rickety house - the whitehouse.

Things are bad. The war in Iraq is spinning out of control. The world situation worsens by the minute - look at London.

Analyst say Apple stock to hit $200

Analysts say strong sales of the Iphone will shoot Apple stock to $200 a share in the near future. This is great news. Technology surges forward as we can now see the future devices that will make the world of tomorrow.

The demand for new tools to make our lives more productive will push technology forward. We are just at the beginning of sea change in electronics. Apple is leading the way to elegant solutions.

Imania hits the streets

Today is Iphone day. The craze is on. Huge crowds are gathering in front of the Apple store. I better hurry and make the line b4 they run out. This is a historical moment, like 1903. Years ago Steve Jobs built an apple computer in the garage with Woz - how far we have come!

When I predicted the iphone back in 2001 the debunkers said "Apple is a computer company, not a phone company stooopid!" Well it is time for them to do a Debunker FlipFlop and say "That was obvious, you didn't predict anything."

Steve Jobs is man of the hour

All eyes are on Steven Jobs and his latest product the Iphone. He shook up the world with the Ipod and now he conquers new territory the humble telephone. In what is called the most exciting new advance since Alexander Graham Bell, we had a small rectangular object that works as telephone, camera, MP3 player, TV, email reader, web browser, etc. You can even play videos from Youtube on from your iphone.

This small device is like an ALL BALL that does almost everything. The touchscreen is at the hearth of this convenients mini laptop/telephone. The future is here!

In other news, Ron Paul will crash the Iowa forum. He was not invited. Guess his views were not what they wanted. Ron has a "bad" habit of saying truth. He is not a regular talking head.

Terrorist leader says "More blood will flow"

Indonesian terrorist leader Abu Dujana accused of the Bali bombings that killed over 200 westerners says that Americans and Europeans are legitimate targets.

The turban wearing terrorist is fighting for islamic rule of the whole world. He denies the Bali bombing, but he warns that more blood will flow. He leads terrorists in attacks on what he claims are legitimate targets. Namely unarmed tourists that bring in much needed income to impoverished Indonesia.

His goal to bring the whole world under strict islamic law is a joke. This monster has no respect for law. His legion of doom has only brought misery to the world.

Prince William back with Kate Middleton

Will we have a Queen Kate in the future? British tabloids report that the charming prince and his ex are back together. The royal rumor is that the palace is pleased with Kate. The happy couple have resumed dating. Things are low key for the moment.

Prince William broke up with Kate Middleton in April. He claimed that military life was a strain on the relationship. With all the worries he has it is a wonder that she is happy to be back.

I predict that Prince William will never have a "normal" life, were he can be himself without being hounded by miliions of clicking cameras. Oh, the sad life of a prince. It is no fairy tale.

Future of Youtube

John Titor said that in the future people create their own content and that TV is over the internet.. That sounds a lot like youtube. In fact, few imagined how powerful video would be.

This is a new age called WEB 2.0 and it really is a shock how quick our technology is changing. Cheap 1080 cameras are just the tip of the iceberg.

We are looking at a new phenomena on the internet - with cheap digital movie cameras, free software downloaded off the net, and low cost broadband connections, video is now available to almost all. Soon video over the net will be common.

CNN going down

The web site CNN used to rank in the top twenty, but soon it will not even be in the top 100. There are many reasons why this is, but one reason is the cut backs they have had in the news room may have affected the quality of their product.

Dying Downtowns

Why is it that the small cities are dying?. Well, there are many reasons. For example, it is hard for a city of less than 50,000 to have the kind of nightlife that attracts young people. Case in point, Bloomington, IN (69,291) has a college, a mall, two multi screen movie theaters and many restaurants, whereas Martinsville, IN (11,698) which used to be a thriving metropolis and the county seat has only a dollar movie theater with one screen and a drive in which is closed in the winter.

Many of the small mom and pop shops shut down when Walmart moved into Martinsville. There is no mall and many businesses in the downtown area have shuttered. The downtown is looking run down and sad. It has seen better days.

Most young people talk of going to live in California or Florida away from the boring town. There is little nightlife and few restaurants. Martinsville has not been able to attract new industry like Bloomington and it has suffered a lot. The only reason that Martinsville still exists is that it has three highways 67, 37, and 39 going through it and that it acts as a bedroom community for mighty Indianapolis the capital of Indiana with a major metro population of over one million.

Still the hour long commute to a declining rust belt Indy and the high price of gasoline have forced many people to move out of Martinsville and relocate in other states like Texas. Although the median price for a house in Martinsville is low, only $105,000, Indiana has state income tax and the once low sales tax of only 2% has now shot up to 6%. Also the once low property taxes have shot up as well. Because the city needs money and the industrial base is leaving.

This means that a person moving to Dallas, TX could find a much better higher paying job and maybe have to pay $140,000 for a comparable house without the long commute and the cold weather and the lack of entertainment.

For this reason while Dallas, TX continues to grow, Martinsville and small cites like it are shrinking. They are seeing businesses pack up and leave. The worst problem is that most young people are leaving. They are the future of any city.
