US economy in trouble

The US economy has grown at the slowest rate since 2002. Let me see that was right after 911 and the rules that made travel a lot harder.

After that tourism dried up and hotel workers lost their jobs. It was a sad time. We are heading into a recession. Real estate is falling, the dow soon will.

Please loooook around and see what is taking place. We are going down.

Quarantine order for 1st time in 40 years

A man with multiple-drug resistant tuberculosis traveled to Europe for his honeymoon. This is bad because his TB is resistant to both first line and second line medicine.

The man with TB knowingly flew to Europe and he may have infected other people with his heard to treat strain of tuberculosis.

TB is easily spread thru the air. It is a killer that is resposible for millions of deaths every year.

Woman on life support dies after power cut

A woman on supplemental oxygen was killed when the electric company cut power.
They claim she did not pay the bill. Today 44 year old New Zealander Mrs Mulligan is dead. a victim of corporate greed. A power cut cost her - her life.

Executives are always talking about making cuts - "Gotta cut costs!" yells these minions of evil, whose sole goal is to increase their profits backed on human misery.

You hear executives talk about - outsourcing, downsizing, streamlining.

They want to pay workers 50 cents an hour while they make 200 million a year.

Bird Flu - 2 infected in UK

Two people got sick with bird flu in Wales due to a visit to a chicken farm. Thankfully, it was the much weaker H7N2 version of bird flu, not the deadly H5N1 that has infected 307 people worldwide killing over 50% OF THOSE AFFECTED!

It seems that this outbreak was caught in time. Still, these viruses can mutate turning into stronger more virulent forms. Already H5N1 has caused the death of 160,000 turkeys in the UK.

Indy 500 uses ethanol

Today the Indianapoliss 500 mile race is using pure 100% ethanol as its fuel. Last year they used methanol, but in a bow to the greens, the corn growing state of Indiana is pushing ethanol as an alternative fuel.

Already many stations are offering E85 a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline to price puzzled customers. I saw E85 for sale at $3.05/gallon, far less than premium at $3.79/gallon. The octane rating of E85 is 112 versus 93 for premium gasoline.

Perhaps with the endorsement of the Speedway racetrack we will see more people switching to E85 and buying flex fuel cars. Barak Obama says that present cars can be retro fitted for E85 for only $150 per car.

Protest against high gasoline prices

Filling station owner shuts off his pumps to protest high gasoline prices and profits of big oil . We need to lower the high prices.

Most people are seeing the prices climb ever up. Already some parts of the country are paying over $4/gal gas. How much longer before we face shortages of fuel?

Last year people were saying that the war in Iraq was the cause. This year the refinery that closed down was blamed, but the real reason is PEAK OIL.

Vote of no confidence

It seems almost like the movie Star Wars. A vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorem put Palpatine in power.

A vote of no confidence in Attorney General Gonzalez will place some one else in power? Who?

Never in the history of the United States of America has there been a vote of no confidence. Bush has his popularity at an all time low. The war in the gulf drags on like a bad nightmare that will not go away.

We cannot or will not face the harsh reality that the US invaded Iraq to take its oil. We did not liberate Iraq anymore than Nazi Germany liberated Poland.

Shark reproduces without mate

In a spectacular first, we now have evidence that sharks can reproduce without mating. This really upsets the apple cart of science. It appears that the biology book you studied in high school belongs in the garbage can.

How many more scientific facts are actually fiction? I was amazed that something so basic could be wrong, but then again most authority figures are fatuous fools who claim to know. Perhaps we can now see them as they really are.

HI GAS goes up even more

Today I paid $3.79/gallon for gasoline. Yesterday the price was $3.39/gallon. I was not in shock. My predictions of galloping gasoline prices are coming true. The debunkers said that the prices would go back down under a $3/gal for gas.

Well, now they are claiming hi gas is "OBVIOUS". Guess what? No more talk about gasoline going under $3/gal or PEAK OIL being a hoax.

I predict that the cars of the future are going to be very small. Here is a look at what we can expect in the days to come.

Vote of no confidence on Gonzo

Gonzo gotta go. Sorry Bush, but the AG has jumped the shark. He went over Niagra Falls in a barrel and is taking down the whole rep party.

Bush is against the vote and he is angry with congress. Well, Gonzo gotta go!

Carter blasts Bush

Today Former President Jimmy Carter said George W Bush is the worst president ever. And he was very unhappy with the role of the US in the world.

This is a turning point. People are waking up. Bush has ruined the economy and caused our present crisis. We need to see him as responsible.

I am glad that people are speaking up. Perhaps now we can start on the road to success. No more war... Peace.

Gasoline hits record high

Big oil blamed for the increase in price of gas. We have not built a new oil refiner since the 1970's and closed 50 refineries in the 90's.

It is all supply and demand. So far demand is way up and supply is way down. That means prices will keep going up into the future.

A perfect storm!

Store sales down

Walmart reports slow sales and earnings; home depot also reports that sales are soft. We are slowly entering a recession. Gasoline prices have soared leaving little money in the pockets of people. Poor people have been hit the hardest.

My prediction of a recession is coming true. Expect the democrats to win big in 2008 as the economy tumbles. We are seeing a big drop in spending on big ticket items like houses, cars, etc. The economic engine is sputtering.

John Bajak's flux capacitor

This summer it will be fun to build John Bakak's Flux Cap and test it. The device is easy to build with most of the parts such as resistors, LEDs available at you local Radio Shack.

Steven Gibbs says that you can build a flux cap in ten minutes using ten dollars in parts. Sounds like a fun John Bajak device to build if you like sound and blinking lights. You can use a flashing RED LED to set the timer.

Will US mine the moon?

In a story that seems almost like science fiction, the russians are accusing the US of trying to mine the moon for helium 3 for use in fusion reactors.

While rare on earth, helium 3 is plentiful on the moon. The desire to mine the lunar soil for this rare isotope of helium is prompting another space race. Russians accuse the US of trying to mine the moon for Helium 3 and monopolize this scare resource. This helium gas could be used for fusion reactors. No wonder we had the Boston Mooninite scare.

Bush is terrified of the Mooninites from the Aqua Teen Hunger Force known as Ignignokt and Err which appeared as litebrite fiqures near a subway on sullivan square and sent police into a panic.

Only a police state could be terrified of cartoon characters.

Walmart says sales worst ever - high gas is culprit

Walmart reported its worst sales since 1980 when it started keeping track. This is due to exhorbitant gasoline prices over three dollars a gallon cutting into the budget of most poor people who shop at Walmart. As fuel prices go up there is less money for other things.

The economy is now in freefall. We see a major depression ahead if the government does not step in now. Gasoline prices are out of control.

Melamine in food supply

It appears that fish destined for human consumption were fed melamine contaminated pellets. This crisis widens on a daily basis. We can expect more serious allegation in the future.

I suggest people be careful with what they eat.

Put some corn in your tank

E85 has taken off. It is a mix of 85% ethanol (grain alcohol) and 15% gasoline. Most ethanol is made from corn. In the battle between oil fields and corn fields, it seems that corn fields are winning. This battle started in the 70's with gasahol a mix of 10% ethanol and 90% regular gasoline. Now 10% ethanol is standard at the pump. The new kid on the block is E85.

Use of E85 is growing by leaps and bounds. So much alcohol is being made that the price of corn is going up. I predict a bright future for the yellow fields of grain. So when searching for fuel - look to the corn fields of the middle west rather than the oil fields of the the middle east.

Paris in jail?

It seems that Paris Hilton was sent to jail. She is accused of violating probation. It seems like an episode of the twilight zone or a bad nightmare.

When do I wake up?

Greed

Gordon Gekko of 'Greed is Good' MP3 from the movie WALL STREET is compared with Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken, but a better comparison is Jay Gatsby, that fictional 1920's ganster bootlegger that lived in a huge mansion.

We can see the results of greed everyday in the rusting shut down factories that were moved to China were workers are paid 50 cents an hour or even less...

I have heard of workers making 17 cents even 13 cents an hour. No my friends geed is not good. It has destroyed our great country and created a few super rich fat cat types that live in mega mansiions off the misery of billions.

Greed is bad.

Kids of the Future - song

Here is a video called "Kids of the Future" from the Walt Disney time travel movie "Meet the Robinsons"

The movie is plus max!

See it.

Bridge collapses, train hauling space shuttle SRB derails

In a terrible accident, a Union Pacific freight train hauling the space shuttle solid rocket boosters derailed inside a forested areas in the state of Alabama. The destruction of the space shuttle solid rocket boosters may affect future space missions. Initial reports say that six people suffered injuries and that the eight booster segments on board the train were damaged.

Thankfully, the space shuttle solid rocket boosters did not ignite. Has that happened, they would have burned out of control and released toxic gas. It is impossible to stop a solid rocket booster propellant fire once started.

Officials are investigating the reason for the collapse of the recently repaired bridge. My guess is sabotage.

Venezuela bigger than Saudi Arabia?

Chavez nationalized heavy crude oil, the future of Venezuela. The article goes on to say that Venezuela has more crude oil reserves than Saudi Arabia. The US gets about 15% of its crude from Venezuela.

Right in our back yeard there is lots of oil. Sadly oil refineries to process th heavy crude are not being built so it will be painful at the pump for years to come.
