Economy in trouble

And the band plays on. it does seem like old times again, maybe the 1930's?

The sad 3rd quarter GDP numbers add to a month of terrible financial news and yet stock pickers still chime about a minimal recession in 2008. I predict that our bad situation will become even more chaotic in the days to come.

Already were are seeing gasoline rise above that dreaded three dollars per gallon. I predict that soon we will see $4/gal gas. This will cause inflation as well as damage the already fragile economy.

I see a sustained monetary liquidity contraction - in other words, no money, as consumers are forced to pay top dollar for food and fuel. Gold will shoot up in price. A safe haven, it shall become for those worried about inflation and return on investment. I predict future price gold in 2009 at $2000/oz.

Debunker Flipflop

In 2004 I predicted a precipitous plunge in prices as the real estate market suffered a major meltdown. The dramatic drop in volume caused many loan officers to extend loans to previously undesirable borrowers.

Now we have a subprime market meltdown, which should come as no surprise to those who use unconventional information gathering techniques. This data was buried deep inside the cluster.

The reaction to my 2004 prediction was that I was a doomsday prophet. Well, now comes the debunker flipflop where my detractors claim that the current real estate market meltdown is a "healthy correction" and that it was obvious.

Let me see. OBVIOUS to who?

The prices are still crashing. Banks are failing. The economy is in a tailspin. Not sure what the debunkers mean.

Scientists study Antarctica

Polar science moves forward as an effeort is made to study global warming and changes it will bring. In the near future ocean currents will change and so will sea life.

Right now scientist from all over the world are studying polar regions to see the effects on life there. We are facing new struggles as the earth gets hotter.

BMW hydrogen car

The BMW Hydrogen 7, the world's first production-ready hydrogen car. It is now being manufactured in Germany. This marks a bold new move for BMW.

We will see more hydrogen cars in the future as we move into the 21st century. The new models will compete with gasoline powered "dinosaurs" that we have now.

I believe there is an exciting future for zero emmisions vehicles.

Foreclosures foreshadow disaster

foreign investors that bet big money on the US housing bubble have seen their money evaporate with a devalued dollar. Many of their star properties sit empty and have fallen into foreclosure.

The foreclosure rate in Nevada has gone up 77% since last year. This state leads the nation in the highest percentage of delinquent home loans. Florida used to be a hot real estate market. It Now has the highest number of foreclosures. And once booming Collier County recorded a drop of 38% in real estate prices this year.

I predict that the market will implode as more and more vacant houses sit on the banks books causing the banks to fail. This failure of banks looms large as a harbinger of the next depression.

politically motivated.firings

AG Gonzalez was aware that a plan existed to fire procecutors. In fact, AG Gonzalez held a meeting 10 days before they were fired.

I am deeply distressted that the government would damage an independent judiciary in this way. An independent judiciary is needed for a proper check and balance between the executive branch and judicial branch.

It appears the the attorney general misled the American people and can no longer serve his post. He should be terminated immediately.

Edward's wife has metastatic cancer

Edward's who ran in 2004 for VP with Kerry has decided to continue his 2008 campaign for pres. He says that his wife's cancer is treatable, but not curable.

A sad day for the former VP candidate. He ealier had his son Wade die and now this. It seems that it is a run of bad luck.

Doctors say John Edward's wife has cancer of the rib. This might cause him to drop out of the race.

Congress tries to pass troop pullout bill

Bush is against a bill by congress that sets a time table for troop withdrawal from the war. He wants to stay in Iraq and fight.

Sadly this war has caused great heartache to the world as warring factions fight out a civil war in Iraq. We should not be there. Let them fight their own war.

Bush threatens to veto Iraq pullout bill that he says will weaken the US and cause the collapse of Iraq. It is my belief that we caused the current Iraq war. I predict it will get much much worse.

Future Price of Food

As more and more food is required by an ever increasing population, its cost will go up. As the price of oil does increase so does the cost of producing and transporting food. However, something even more sinister is increasing the future price of food.

We are converting food into fuel. Corn is used to create ethanol. Soybeans areusedto createsoy biodiesil. We are burning the food for fuel. The biomass used to feed us now is also our source of fuel so there is even less food to eat.

New product called twitter

It shows where you are 24/7 and keeps track of you.

http://www.twitter.com

I joined twitter

Twitter shows where I am.

The Future Price of Gasoline

"Where are we going to get our fuel from when the oil wells run dry?" asks the politician. Well take a look at those vast fields of grain. Corn will be used to generate ethanol for cars, and soybeans will be ground up for their oil to make soy biodiesil for trucks.

The Chicago board of trade sees an increase in commodity prices. Think food, those eggs on the tables. The price of food goes up as the price of fuel goes up, not just due to transportation, but because cropland is used to "grow" fuel.

It is food versus fuel, and fuel is winning. Expect the price of eggs to go up. It takes a lot of corn to get a dozen eggs and some soy for the protein.

The Last Mimzy

A movie based on a short story "Mimsy were the Borogoves" by Henry Kuttner & C. L. Moore written in 1947 about a young brother and a sister who discover some toys. They play with the toys, but these are machines from the future that help the children develop their metal powers.

It appears that there are problems in the future that these children must solve. Mimzy is not a stuffed baby bunny, but instead the product of an advanced civilization from the future. It has the ability to time travel. In fact, the rabbit Mimzy is in some old 1800's photographs.

What a beautiful story. I bought the book - "The Last Mimzy" and am reading it. It deals with time travel and how things will be in the future. My prediction is that in that far age, we will have truly incredible technology. Perhaps a Mimzy will be built after all.

Is global warming a hoax?

There are those who claim that the polar ice cap is not melting. That it is all a hoax. They ask why Miami is not under water.

Still, I took today a photograph near Chicago. The temperature today was 80 degrees. That is very hot for mid march. We are maybe 30 degrees above normal.

My fear is a very hot summer that will scorch crops and cause fires. If 100 is normal in July, then I can see the temperature soar to 130 maybe even 150 in a few years. Talk about hot.

Take a look at the picture below so that you can see it is still winter, a very warm winter for Chicago.

300

Yesterday I saw 300. It is a movie about how 300 brave Spartan warriors stood up to a mighty army numbering over one million men led by Xerxes Emperor of Persia.

"The world will know that free men stood up against a tyrant." Is the famous line given by King Leonidas of Sparta.

The question is who are we - Xerxes or Leonidas? Do we invade other countries to steal their resources or do we boldly defend ourselves from invaders?

Grokodile blog directory

I just signed up in Grokodile, a new directory for blogs and websites that has a great new feature. You are listed by what town you are in. This will help you find other blogs from your town and people to talk to.

Most directories on the web are topic based, but this new blog directory is location based so that you can find other web sites from your town. I hope that more people sign up. This is a great idea to start communities based on towns.

By listing your blog in this community you will get more visitors and people that are from your local area. This is a great idea for local business blogs.

Mystery of Easter Island

It is the most remote place on earth and yet here an ancient civilization flourished with its own written language called Rongorongo. Today it is possible to travel from Chile to Easter Island and stay at a hotel. The island is now called Pascua meaning Easter in Spanish and the islanders are called Pascuans.

However the Islanders call themselves Rapa Nui and want their independence from Chile. The government of Chile has turned the island into a tourist attraction with hotels and restaurants.

Much can be learned by looking at the past. This civilization was destroyed by the west due to disease and wars. the Rapa Nui people were made slaves and the wooden tablets containing their Rongorongo language burned by priests.

Little remains, except for the enigmatic stone heads known as Moai, of the mystery of Easter Island.

Techfest explores the future

In Washington State the Techfest is looking at future trends and products. The Microsoft sponsored Techfest will focus mainly on new internet technology. For example you take a photograph using your digicam and submit it to a large database and your location is given to you. I guess that would help if you got lost in a mega metropolis.

The Techfest tries to look an what the future will bring in term of new breakthroughs. The exciting technologies of tomorrow are closer than we think.

Record 370 million Lotto Jackpot

Lotto fever has hit the nation as the Mega Millions Lottery Jackpot has swelled to a record $370,000,000, that is more than 1/3 of a billion dollars. The chance of winning this massive fortune is 1 in 176 million.

The drawing was moved from Atlanta to Times Square in NYC. People anxious for the numbers they are 42-39-29-22-16; Mega Ball number was 20. Hope you were lucky.

Perhaps we wonder if remote viewing the lottery is possible. Maybe we can see the numbers before they are drawn. We can only hope.

Bet could melt Wall Street

It appears that the stock market is crashing. People are pulling money off the table. The investors are selling dollar and buying yen.

Investors borrowed Japanese money at 0.5% interest and the bought stock with that money. Now they are selling the stock in a frantic attempt to pay back loans. This could melt Wall Street.

The best that stocks would go up was in error and now it is time to pay the piper.

Mindreading machine helps scientists predict behavior

It sounds like science fiction, but we now have mindreading machines that predict behavior. In a move that will shock civil libertarians, scientists at Berlin's Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience have been able to capture brain scans and use this information to determine future actions.

This technology could be used for criminal investigations and to determine guilt in court proceedings. We can use mindreading machines to create a totalitarian police state where wrong thoughts equal death.

It appears that this is the tip of the iceberg. The possibilties are beyond belief.

Publishers allow customers to browse books on net

Finally, you can read a few pages on the web before you order the book. One advantage retail stores had was that you could check more than just the cover before you put some money in the register. On the net digital downloads were possible, but you pay first and cry later.

Not anymore, now you can see the first few pages. Try before you buy.

The sevice is called insight and it will allow content on myspace. You can share a book with friends over the net. Sounds to me like the publishing industry is borrowing a page from the music industry.

Can remote viewing be used for forex?

There are some videos posted of remote viewing being used to find lotto numbers and also forex figures. Now, I have been told that you cannot find numbers using RV, but it appears that this ability can be invoked.

Remote viewing video of the lotto numbers is incredible. Using remote viewing might make the lotto shut down. Imagine this abilty used to predict sporting events.

Seeing news events before they take place. The possibilities are beyond belief.

Future Emergency

We need to prepare in case of a Future Emergency. It is good to have a hand crank radio to get news and a propane heater. A kerosene heater is cheaper, but a bit smoky.

Also jars and cans of food as there may be no electricity for days. Think what happened with hurricane Katrina. It was a long time before power was restored.

People need to be ready in case of a future emergency.

World Markets Face Global Meltdown

Disastrous economic news has caused markets across the globe to plunge. The news in Europe and Asia is that we have not hit bottom yet. Today the Dow Jone Industrial Average was down over 200 points, but closed down only 34.29 points.

Analysts are starting to run out of excuses for the big drop in the Dow. We need to acknowledge that the current volatility is created by unsteady hand of Alan Greenspan's succesor Ben Bernanke. The new chairman of the Federal Reserve keeps talking about inflation.

Wake up! We are soon to face depression as in the Great Depression. He keeps raising the fed funds rate. Banks will soon start to close. As housing prices continue their downward spiral, the banks main asset, homes are worth less with each passing day. It is only a matter of time before they have more debt than assets, before they are underwater. We are all drowning here. There are black clouds at the horizon, I predict a coming superstorm.

My strategy is precious metals. They will weather this financial hurricane.

Payday Cash Advance Loan

Payday Cash Advance Loans can be a life saver when disaster strikes. Last year the transmission on my truck went out and I had to pay over $2000 to get a new one. This was a problem for me. In addition to family and friends, a payday loan can assist in a financial emergency.

When you need money fast for an emergency a payday cash advance loan can quickly get you needed funds. Before you had to drive into the city to a check cashing store, but now an internet company, Secureloanconsolidation.com offers this service as an easy to fill out form over the internet.

Getting a Payday Loan Online is easy and quick. It takes only fifteen minutes to fill out the forms and you get your money fast. In fact, you get your money in less than 24 hours. Since you are using your payroll check to collateralize the loan, you can get the loan even if you have less than stellar credit.

It is good to have options in case of an emergency. Most loans take time to process, but a cash advance from a payroll check is quick and gets you money in an emergency. A payday cash advance loan is one more option you can use.
