Technically, we never got out of the first great recession. Well, here comes another one. Economists say a double dip depression or recession is coming. OK so what we now say. It does indeed that way seem. People are still out of work and the stimulus money is gone. Truly the worst of times for many.

Thefts are increase. Yeah, as gas goes up. Sadly, we are living in a new era. Basically, it is one which does not respect property of others and thinks only of me. People are now siphoning off the gas. It did happen to me. For example, I parked at a hotel with a full tank of gas. Then I drove home and found that half was gone. Sadly, there is no lock on my gas cap. Well, I have to get one.

CEO pay is up. However, this is not the case in workers wages. Those are going down on average. Let us wake up. Executives talk about reducing expenses. What do they mean? It is uping their salary, and for everyone else less money. That is why they shut down factories in america. Sadly, those are move over seas.

Folks, new unions are necessary. This is as american workers move from factory floor to information economy. Expect that salaries will remain poor. Also, I see a decline in workers wages. Basically, we must compete a lot more now.

Malls now face a surge in vacancies. Ghost malls are becoming common. This is due to our poor economy. OK some people are blaming the internet and web retailers such as amazon. Well, that might be true in some areas. People are trying to save money. Buying over the internet is less expensive. Also, there is the factor of high gas prices. Mostly that will affect people in rural regions. In a large city most stores are near. However, in the country side they are far away. Expect more malls to close as gas prices rise.

I am paying $4 per gallon for gas now. People are tearing their hair out and looking for sales in the newspaper. There are too many bills for us. Like they keep going up. That said, we try to trim our usage. However, it seems every day we read about prices going  up. Well, the tragedy is that most workers are seeing a decline in wages.

Toyota sells its one millionth prius in america. Well, this is good news. Sadly, that prius factory was never built in america. Hey true, it was going to be a screw driver factory doing assembly, but still it would have created a few jobs for us. Hope that the volt does well in the days to come. Twitteroons, what can we now say. Because of Twitter I have to condense my thoughts down to the 140 char limit to get them to move. Wish I had more room 2 express. Well, I do with BLOGGER, yaaa...

Still, I do love twitter use because it is so fast in times of breaking news. For example, I once saw a tornado coming toward me and in real time tweeted it on another account not on @HDRKID Twitter, but there we go.

Sbarro files for bankruptcy

Today, we got some grim news. Yeah, like we need any more. Sbarro pizza place is filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. What this means is more people out of work now. Folks, I love to eat pizza. However, it is getting expensive. Really sad about Sbarro, but people now do not have as much money. They are trying to cut back on any item that is not necessary.

Politicians say things are looking up. What is the average net worth of americans? That is a tough question to ask and not sure we have an answer. Sadly, we know this number is going down as real unemployment rises. Please do not listen to politicians who claim the everything is all fine and our prosperity is just around the corner.
