Job Predictions 2009

Few could have foreseen the calamity of the housing markets, and how it would affect the global economy; as you can see the world is going in a recession toward a deep downhill spiral. Still, how will that affect jobs?

The prospects for future employment seem meager indeed as the international businesses start to downsize and dump workers. Finding a position will become more of a challenge and keeping that job increasingly difficult.

My job predictions for 2009 do show a few bright spots in the area of ecoengineering and green tech as the world attempt to cut back on carbon emmisions and reduce levels of CO2 in the atmosphere, but even those green jobs will be low paying and dependant on government subsidies.
