Monster ice storm cancels 500 flights

An ice storm has hit the South like a hammer. There are over 500 flights grounded and many planes cannot leave due to the terrible conditions. I am glad I have a cell phone handy where people can reach me.

At all times a cell phone is great in an emergency. This is one such event where being able to call people and see that they are all fine is very important. With SMS I can send messages to people all over the world and be in constant contact no matter where I am.
