Chinese Auto Manufacturer to Sell Cars in US

The giant Chinese Carmaker Chery Motors will partner with Crysler to sell its tiny cars in the United States market. There is a huge demand worldwide for small inexpensive and fuel efficient cars.

It is estimated that this market makes up almost 70% of the cars sold globally. With brand new manufacturing plants and workers making only $1/hour the Chinese are poised to take over the automobile manufacturing industry.

These tiny cars appeal to poor people who cannot afford the big SUV and need budget transportation. With Walmart wages a person will soon be forced to take a scooter to work as fuel prices will surge in the future.

I see a bright future for Chinese automobile manufacturers as they build the small fuel efficient cars of tomorrow.

Future Dress

Fashion in the future is quite different than now. Future Dress is probably going to use nano particles and intelligent fabric. Clothes will repel dirt as well as protect the wearer from the elements.

We will see a great interest in new technologically advanced materials to build clothes from and to generate new fabrics. Styles will change as new materials emerge. The emphasis on future dress will be on the comfort and ease of use.

Perhaps we are looking at a bold new dawn in the manufacture of outerwear.

Hottest Jan on record

Talk about global warming; last month was the hottest January on record ever. The planet is slowly getting warmer and science gives us the answer.

We now have more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This traps the heat like a warm blanket, but come summer we may wish that things were a little cooler. I predict a record number of over 100 degree days in this coming summer.

Also, things will be dryer this summer and heat waves more prolonged than ever before.

Space Cowboys

Move over "Astronaut Farmer" a bunch of Space Cowboys want to ride rockets to the moon, and among them is the incredible Sir Richard Branson, CEO of Virgin Group with his new company Virgin Galactic.

It sounds straight out of science fiction, but it's true. Space ports are being built in the desert of New Mexico to accomodate the silvery rockets that will launch people into space.

Sir Richard Branson, CEO of Virgin Group already has 100 founders signed up. These are people who paid $200,000 each to sail into space on the engine of a rocket.

The first launch is scheduled for 2009 and people are getting ready to head out into space. This is truly an great time to live.

Strange case of Joseph Vorin

A strange looking man was found walking the streets of Frankfurt Germany in 1851. He claimed his name was Joseph Vorin from the nation of Laxaria. The officials could barely communicate because Joseph Vorin spoke an odd para Germanic dialect that they could barely understand.

The odd manner of dress and strange dialect told the official that the man was foreign. More questioning produced the information that the country of Laxaria was on the continent of Sakria far away from Europe beyond vast oceans.

The fact that he suddenly appeared out of nowhere and was confused as to his surroundings tells us he came from somewhere else, but where, a parallel earth? There is much more to this mystery.

Dog Insurance

My neighbor had two dogs, Muffin and Fluffy. Fluffy disappeared and we spent hours looking for her. We put up posters and looked everywhere. Sadly Fluffy was found dead near a highway. She did not know a lot about cars because she was an indoor dog.

Losing a pet is like losing a member of the family. I advise that people who have dogs to get pet insurance to help pay vet bills in case the pet gets sick. Stoneways pet health insurance offers plans for dogs, cats, and horses. In addition to covering vet fees and other cost in case of an illness, the insurance policy also covers property damage.

It is important to get full coverage for your pets.

Astronaut Farmer launches today

It's a tale of an ex-NASA astronaunt that builds a rocket in his barn. The rancher spaceman has a dream of going into the deep black void of outer space. He follows that dream where it leads.

Astronaut Farmer is a modern fable that seems to lift our spirits with a message that soars above the clouds. The message is "Without our dreams we are nothing." Charlie Farmer is determined to launch his rocket into space. NASA is against him, but he struggles on.

"Somewhere along the line, we stopped believing we can do anything,'' - Charlie Farmer

Payperpost is the future

I must tell you about a great new company called Payperpost. They are leading the way into the future with a new way to advertise on blogs. Small companies need exposure for their products and Payperpost is the best “buzz” machine because it is both low cost and effective.

Use the Payperpost blog ad network to promote a new product, create buzz about your company, and drive traffic to your website.

Most young people learn about new products and trends through blogs. Yes, blogs have replaced community newspapers as the conduit for what is happening. If you want to reach this young audience Payperpost has the tools to help put your product in front of millions of eager buyers.

I strongly encourage all small businesses to sign up as both an advertiser and a postie. Learn all you can about how to use blogs to advertise your products because blogs are the future. I am very happy with my experience with PPP. Their customer service is excellent.

Unlike link sellers, Payperpost does much more than simply post a link on a site, with Payperpost you have content about your product or service to inform buyers about what you are selling. This is much more effective than a bunch of links at the bottom of a page.

Also, Payperpost charges very low fees in contrast to link sellers. Each post costs a minimum of $5 plus a 35% fee. Many link sellers charge hundreds of dollars per link per month. With Payperpost the five dollars is a one time fee. Your ROI with PPP is excellent.

Let us compare Google Adwords and Payperpost. With Adsense you have a tiny little ad buried in a box at the right hand side of the search engine. Ever hear of ‘banner blindness’? Most people do not even see your ad.

Inside that tiny little space you can barely describe your product. You are also not allowed to place you telephone number in the ad. I know because I used to do this. With Payperpost you have up to 300 words to describe your product or service, more than enough to convince a potential user.

Also, you can add pictures to the blogs and specify how you want the blogs written. You have much more control, and the PR of the blog is passed to your site.

Let us recap what you get
1) Content written about your product.
2) A text link pointing to your web site.
3) Pictures of the product so users can see it.
4) PR passed to your web site.
5) Traffic sent to your website

You need to get up to speed on Payperpost, it is the future. Oh, by the way, all bloggers are required to disclose that it is a sponsored post.

Prince Harry (Tankboy)

Take a look at the photo of Prince Harry (Tankboy) he looks as innocent as my five year old son. I want to give him a lollipop and send him home. Tell him “Put that toy away little boy, you might hurt yourself”.

Talk about a photo op, the closest danger he will face is falling down the stairs of a drafty castle after he has had too much to drink.

I think my kid sister can beat up Harmless Harry.

Britain Exits Iraq

Tony Blair announced his Iraq exit strategy saying that the present British troops will be withdrawn from the area of conflict. He stressed that Iraq would have to come to rely on itself for its own security.

General Sir Richard Dannatt, the Chief of the General Staff. said "get ourselves out sometime soon because our presence exacerbates the security problems. We are in a Muslim country, and Muslims' views of foreigners in their country are quite clear."

In contrast President Bush of the United States wants to send more troops to Iraq. I wonder what history will say. My prediction is that Iran will be attacked soon by US forces. Tony wants to get out while he still can.

Mint Credit Cards

Having a credit card is very important for many reasons like emergency cash and being able to make purchases. Most of us do not feel safe carrying around large amounts of cash.

Mint Credit Cards has a great idea for saving you money - a 0% credit card.

I use to have a huge balance on my credit card that was eating up my meager salary. The problem was all the interest I was paying. Right now, Mint Credit Card has 0% on all purchases until December 31, 2007. Also, you can transfer existing balances from other credit cards to Mint Credit Card with 0% interest.

You can manage you account securely over the internet and have 56 day interest-free period on purchases.

This is great for a person that has a big credit load and wishes to decrease the monthly payment. This is a great credit card for debt transferal because you do not have to pay any interest until December 2007.

Another great product that Mint Credit Card has released is a Mint Gift Card. This is a pre-paid credit card that you can give to your children to go shopping. This is a lot safer than a wad of cash that can get lost or stolen.

The Mint Gift Card can be used by retailers worldwide where Visa is accepted.

Check out this great new product at Mint Gift Card.

Google co-founder Larry Page ideas on the future

Larry Page the creator of the "Page" rank algorithm that powers Google has a few ideas on how the future can be made a better place.

1) Computer controlled cars
This is a good idea and one which we should see in the future. A way to decrease the number of fatalities on roads as well as decrease the amount of time it takes to get people to the destination.

2) Ultra Light Planes instead of roads
I love this idea, but it does not seem very logical. We would all have to become pilots. Landing a plane is scary for me, and I was in aerospace call were we had a training airplane.

3) Solar Power Stations in Nevada
Again, a great idea. With energy hungry California close by this one might make it. I think that solar power is a big deal in the future. We can hope more people start to work on creating solar power that is cost effective.

4) Wind Power in North Africa
This idea is grand, but I would think that solar would be better. Still, wind turbines are very efficient and cost effective now so they could be used to generate power. The problem is that wind generated power is more expensive than power generated using {coal, oil, or gas}.

Larry Page has a lot of good ideas. I hope he uses some of his vast wealth to turn them into reality.

Future Sounds

What will music in the future sound like? Will it be a hard pounding beat or soft and mellow?

Unsigned.com has many new acts that are emerging onto the scene. Many of these fresh new unsigned bands are creating the music of tomorrow today. You should listen to these intense powerful scores. It is time to get tuned in to the front line in music.

My favorite tunes are computer generated electronica, not trance techno or various incarnations of hip-hop pop, but the hard edge sound that borders on surreal. Unsigned has a collection of the hottest new Dance Bands you can find. I found Unsigned to be a treasure trove of many different kinds of music, everything from the golden oldies of yesteryear to the intense futuristic tonalities of tomorrow.

What I like the most about this web site is that it showcases fresh new groups that have not broken into the mainstream yet, but soon will be.

Mummified Body in front of Blaring TV

It sounds like a horror movie, but it is front page news on CNN. The mummified remains of a man were found today in front of a blaring television set. The seventy year old man is supposed to have died of natural causes while watching his favorite TV shows.

He had been dead for a year when somebody reported a broken water pipe and police went inside the house to investigate. The TV MAN had been dead for over a year.

I have problems with this story.

1) Water dept, not police checks water mains.
2) Electricity still on a year later without paying?
3) Nobody reported a terrible odor.
4) No nosy neighbors tried to rob the place.
5) Overgrown lawn did not attract attention.

Look at the photo. Grass is short!

Bald Britney

Strange things are afoot! Britney Spears got her head shaved and some tattoos. We cannot predict what other interesting things she will do in the future. The songstress has been a mite odd of late.

This report in from the Telegraph, just when you thought things could not get any weirder - Prince Harry, third in line to the throne, will serve front line combat duty in Iraq. Yes, I know it sounds crazy, but it is true. He's got guts! Walking into that death trap takes more than courage.

But the strangest news is this - Bank of America plans to give credit cards to illegal immigrants. And what if these illegals are criminals, terrorists even? It sounds scary actually.

Future Pet Predictions

Ever wonder what types of animals people will have as pets in the future? If you are expecting glow in the dark cats - well, I don't think so. Many people in the future will want to have pets.

My Future Pet Predictions are that people will see robotic pets as a substitute for the real thing. You do not have to feed them every day or clean up after them. They do not need to go outside and walk or get tired or die. The space requirements are less, and finally a real pet needs attention.

The "mechanicals" will look and act like the real thing, but without the negatives like damaging furniture. Perhaps, we will have some strange pets in the far future based on AI.

Man of the Century

I saw a movie called “Man of the Century” that is about a 1920’s news reporter that gets transported to now. It is not a time travel movie like “Time Changer” where a preacher from the 1890’s time travels to now and is shocked by our harsh language, but it has the same fish out of water feel.

Johnny Twenties as he is called uses a lot of 20’s slang and dresses very ‘Jazz Era’. He not only looks the part, but he uses an old manual typewriter instead of a computer to write his news stories.

The move is more a comedy than anything else, but there is a touch of sadness as you see how people were happier in that long ago time of yesteryear. One thing that I’ve gotten from talking to people that are old, I’m talking about people who are over 100, is the sense that the twenties were a very happy time, versus the thirties with the great depression were very sad. Also, the 1940's with WWII were sad. Food was rationed in the 40's and so was gasoline.

The twenties with the jazz music were seen as a fun time when people became aware of many new technologies such as record players and radio. In contrast the thirties with the blues were seen as a sad time.

Unlike most Hollywood pictures, this movie contrasts the morality of the twenties with that of today’s world. The reporter Johnny Twenties does not use any bad language, and keeps saying expressions that were common in the Twenties such as ‘banana oil’ and ‘applesauce’ instead of using the “F” word.

To keep that 20's feel most of the movie was shot in black and white. I think the only thing missing from the movie was a Model A. Ford going “Aaahoooogah!”

It would be difficult to predict how a person from the 1920’s would react in today’s world.

Snow Tires

Getting snow tires cost me $400. Still, it was well worth the investment now that I have to drive my 4X4 4WD truck in the snow.

Back in the summer I had to replace my worn out bald tires and I waited until winter to get some snow tires. Yesterday in heavy ice and slush the snow tires performed quite well. They handled a surface so slippery I could barely walk on it without falling.

It is wise to be well prepared for the winter. The tires that worked OK in the summer would have left me stuck in the snow. The ability to see the future and take action is what makes us strong.

If I had ignored the problem I would not be able to do my work and that would be bad...

Difficulty in getting a home loan?

I have noticed that it is more difficult to get a home loan in some states than others. For example in the rust belt where property prices are declining the banks are less likely to want to make loans, or if they do they will want a bigger down payment.

Realtors told me that banks would tighten up credit this year, but I have seen no evidence of this. China is pouring billions into mortgage backed securities so banks are eager to lend.

In states like Florida they are more willing to loan money because the economy is growing and property prices are increasing. Getting a Florida mortgage is easier. In my experience I was able to qualify for a variable rate mortgage even though I had only been working for two years.

Another rapidly growing state is Nevada. Getting a Nevada mortgage is not as hard as one in California because property prices are lower in Nevada so it is easier to qualify.

The South and West in general are growing faster than the rest of the country.

Another possibility is to consider Virginia which is less expensive than Florida, but has an expanding job base due to defense contractors. You will have an easier time getting a Virginia mortgage if it is near a city that is growing. Banks look for areas that are expanding when they loan money. A friend of mine who sold his house in Florida and moved to Virginia says that the work situation is stable and that you can get twice the house for half the price and he had no trouble getting a Mortgage.

Colony Collapse Disorder

A strange new disease is attacking colonies of bees. It affects the social order of the hive in such a dramatic way that is is called Colony Collapse Disorder. Beekeepers noticed the mystery malady last year when thousands of seemingly healthy hives suddenly had a drastic decline in the number of individuals per colony.

The queen was still there, so were her attendants, but gone were the worker bees that go out and get pollen and nectar – they were AWOL.

Where did they go? There were no dead bees around the colony, no dead bees inside the colony. It was simply a case that they went out and did not come back.

Eventually when enough bees left the hive, the colony collapsed.

Now, you might ask. Why is this do important?

Well, bees pollinate our crops and without food, we would be in bad shape. Still, the reason I bring it up is as follows.

A very similar thing is happening in our society. Property taxes have gone up dramatically. In the state of Indiana where property prices fell last year, property taxes rose in some cases over 33%. People that were paying $300 a year in taxes back in 2001 and now paying $1500/year in taxes on their house.

You know that inflation has been mild in the last few years and yet the government is forced to hike taxes again and again. There is state sales tax which used to be 2% in the 1960’ s and is now 6%, soon to be 7%.

The taxes on personal and corporate income have gone up as well. In fact, we are seeing the state tax and tax and tax, but why?

Indiana like most of the US had large factories in the 60’s, but now all those factories are closing and moving to China. The high paying high tech white collar jobs are being outsourced to India. Meanwhile millions of illegal aliens are sending their paychecks to Mexico and other places.

As the available supply of funds dries up the state is forced to increase taxes. Already the foreclosure rate is three times greater than it was in 2002 after 911.

The solution according to our ruling caste – the executive elite – is to close more US factories and move them to China. They constantly talk about making cuts, yet their megabuck salaries have gone up far faster than inflation. Executives increase their profits while they are outsourcing our future.

If you look at a Walmart you will notice that all the products are being MADE IN CHINA. The company was caught hiring illegal aliens and paying them below the minimum wage – less than $5.15/hour.

What happens in Colony Collapse Disorder is that the workers leave the hive, while the queen and the royalty stay behind. Eventually the colony cannot sustain itself. We are seeing a similar process in the US.

Lighting can transform your space

I have a friend who installs track lighting for stores and cruise ships. You cannot believe the difference that good lighting can make. See these articles on how lights can transform your space.

Shoppremier is a lighting superstore, they have major brands like Kichler and Maxim. They have an extensive selection of track lighting that you need to warm up a house or a store. Not just lights for indoor uses like kitchen lighting and bathroom vanity lighting, but outdoor lighting as well.

Home and garden lighting is used not only for security purposes, but to dress up a landscape and brighten up a patio so it can be used at night. Check out the Premier Lighting collection of patio lights. In addition to lights they have other related products such as dimmer switches and ceiling fans.

Premier Lighting is a member of the American Lighting Association and currently offers free shipping on orders $200.00 or more. Make Premier Lighting your store for Home Lighting Fixtures and more.

Kentucky Fried Cruel

PETA has Pamela Anderson doing an ad for them about how cruel it is to eat chicken. KFC is called Kentuky Fried Cruelty and people are asked to "kick the bucket".

At first it seemed like it might be a joke site, but no, this is real. Seems like a comedy show once had men dressed as chickens run around KFC clucking and yelling "Stop the slaughter. "

I predict that in the future animal rights groups will limit food choice as well as make pet stores illegal.

Disney Movie - Meet The Robinsons

Disney has a new movie about time travel called "Meet The Robinsons". I saw the preview yesterday. It looks like a cross between the Jetsons and Futurama, with bright Disney dayglow colors.

A rich saturated pallete of colors in the cartoon. Still, I wonder. What will the future look like? Will we see flying cars like in {Robinsons, Jetsons, and Futurama} or will we have teleporters?

My guess is that we will have both!

The future will be a bright exciting place where technology will be bold and brash. I predict that the best days are ahead of us. We will triumph in the end.

Cities pass laws making it criminal to feed homeless

Orlando and Las Vegas have made it illegal to feed homeless. You must apply for a feeding permit. Other cities like Miami, Atlanta, and Dallas are considering similar measures.

First they pass laws against being homeless, but now they want to attack the people who have enough compassion that they wish to help out the poor. This trend of executives downsizing and out sourcing. All this talk of economic development has led to a growing lack of humanity.

Cities first turned passive begging into a criminal act. Now they claim that those feeding the homeless, like soup kitchens, churches, etc. are aiding and abetting criminals. It is like 1984.

US getting ready to attack Iran

Iran supplies insurgents with explosives, technology, logistics, and even sends soldiers to train the forces opposing the US. We have the smoking gun of tracing the serial numbers back to Iran.

Here is a video of Iran shooting down an American helicopter. More evidence that the war is slipping over the border with Iran. The Iraqi government is cutting its ties with Shia based militants that are supported by the Islamic Revolutionary Republic of Iran.

Iran gives shoulder launched missiles to Iraqi insurgents to help them shoot down American aircraft and is stepping up its purchases of weapons from Russia, getting all kinds of help from Putin and his KGB based government.

The US moving a second aircraft carrier into the Persian Gulf means the situation is serious and that we are preparing to defend ourselves from attack orchestrated by Iran. We now know that Iran is currently helping the terrorist groups of Hezbollah, Hamas and even Al Qaeda.

It is now obvious that Iran is currently building a nuclear bomb in its secret facility at Natanz which Israel is planning to destroy. Israel is planning a nuclear strike using bunker buster nuclear missiles before Iran has its bomb ready.

George Bush is not Michael Dukakis he will fight the forces of evil. We should prepare for all out war and a military draft. Bush asked Russia to stop supplying rockets to Iran. The Russian reply is that the rockets are purely defensive.

In other news Iran is building intercontinental ballistic missiles using technology she obtained from the People's Democratic Republic of North Korea. Iran also got nuclear technology and is busy building centrifuges to extract weapons grade uranium.

The nightmare of a nuclear Iran is too scary to behold. We have little time to act.

I predict that the situation in the Persian Gulf will become a lot more tense in the days to come. Night search with paranormal researcher Patricia Ress and Brian Ladd has Brian's Predictions. Here are CarlosX Predictions.

Oil heading higher

As predicted the price of oil is going up. Gasoline is going up even faster. Last month regular at the pump was as low as $1.87/gallon and now it stands at $2.39/gallon and rising. I predict that it will soon pass the magical three dollar mark.

This will reduce profits for companies and slow down the economy. We will see a return to higher inflation triggered by high oil prices. Analysts say that the current prices of of at $58/b is high and that it will hold under sixty.

Don't believe it. The current crisis in Nigeria, the sixth largest petroleum producer in the world is fueling this price increase. Expect prices to continue upward.

Hillary can't be stopped

Hillary Clinton is way ahead in gathering money for her campaign. John Edwards who came in second in the 2004 primaries is way behind. This early lead in the game gives Hillary the momentum she needs.

Her husband Bill is a money magnet and she is pushing hard to raise the money she needs to campaign hard in 2008. She was not given much of a chance before now, but it is becoming clear that she not McCain will win in 2008.

When I predicted that Hillary would win the 2008 election back in 2005, most people thought that Gore or Kerry would run. Some thought that Hillary might not even run for president. Yet, like clockwork the predictions have come true.

The Ancient Lovers

Found encased in stone a story as old as time, two ancient lovers died embracing each other. The two were found 25 miles from Verona, Italy that city famous for Romeo and Juliette.

It seems like a story for Valentine's day but it is true. We still do not know how they died or why but what we know is that even in olden days people had feelings for each other.

DNA testing will tell us if the two are related. Nearby flint tools and ornaments were found, perhaps they will even find an obsidian heart. I predict that they will discover that the ancient couple were a husband and a wife.

Toyota Record Profits

Toyota reports a 19% increase in 3rd quarter profits. They are well on their way to becoming the world's largest automaker. Toyota has had 8 straight years of record earnings. They continue to increase market share while the big three {GM, Ford, and Crysler} lose market share.

But why is this so?

Ford & GM continue to build big SUV trucks and other gas hogs. They laughed at the hybrids and small fuel efficient cars. I predicted that both Ford & GM would go under unless they changed direction. We now stand at the crossroads. Either US car makers start to produce the cars people want or they will become a footnote in the history books.

Mortgage refinance

Mortgage refinance is probably the best way to save huge amounts of money as well as lower your monthly payments. Let’s face it, the biggest debt you have is your house. That monthly payment is bigger than (heating, electricity, food, and telephone) combined. It is ¼ to ½ of your total income. By lowering your monthly payment you have more money to spend on other things.

In fact, if you get a home equity loan to pay off credit cards as well as refinance your existing home loan you might save hundreds of dollars every month.

That is why I recommend that you consider getting a low rate mortage refinancing plan now. Mortgage rates are going up and you can lock in a low rate now. Look up rates with the mortgage calculator.

Bush's actions 'could lead to impeachment'

Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) says that Bush is planning to invade Iran.

When I first reported this the response was hoots of laughter quite similar to back in 2001 when I said that the US was gearing up to enter Iraq. We see another aircraft carrier is in the Persian Gulf and Bush needs more troops.

The conclusion I have is that the invasion is now in the planning stages. We can only imagine all the people that will die.

Kuchnich said "The degree to which this President continues to take steps to go to war against Iran without consulting with the full Congress is the degree to which he is increasingly putting himself in jeopardy of an impeachment proceeding."

We can only pray that this terrible tragedy will be avoided.

Bird Flu Strikes Turkey Farm in England

It appears the 159,000 birds will have to be culled in yet another outbreak of the H5N1 Avian Influenza virus that struck the UK.

This case is similar to previous outbreaks on the European continent. Hopefully the virus can be contained before it spreads to other poultry farms. It is important to control the outbreak now before the bird migration begins.

The bird flu has killed 163 people and 200 million birds so far. We can only hope that it is stopped before it mutates into a super virulent form. I predict that unless stronger measures are taken this will happen soon.

Car & Home Insurance

Last year I had a really bad accident. I was hit hard from behind and the van I was driving was thrown into a ravine. Before the accident I would get the cheapest car insurance I could find, but now I see the importance of getting good insurance.

Insure121 has a guide for travel insurance, home insurance, and car insurance. You can save a lot of money if you compare car insurance plans offered by different companies and still get great coverage.

Some insurance companies will give you a 20% discount if you have both home and car insurance with them. They will also give you an additional 5% discount if you apply online.

This is good to know and I already have both car and home insurance with one company to save money. Also, you can call one number, instead of two for your insurance needs. It saves you time as well as money. Insure121 gives you all the latest tips on ways to save on your insurance bills.

If you travel a lot and I do, then travel insurance is a good thing to have. Insure121 has a list of companies that specialize in travel insurance. You can quickly get cash in a foreign country and be reimbursed for lost luggage.

Caravan insurance is a new product that you might be interested in. It covers not only motor homes, but trailers and even tents. This insurance is great for people who travel because it covers not only the motor home, but the possessions inside. Get quotes on full coverage from Insure121.

Big game tomorrow

All my friends are getting ready for the Super Bowl. I have friends in both Chicago and Indianapolis. It's a bit chilly up north, perfect weather for bears although they may want to hibernate, but young colts might prefer sunny warm Miami to a frozen snowy Indianapolis.

In fact, most people in Indy probably wish they could be in Miami right now soaking up the rays and hanging out at the beach. Sounds a lot better than shoveling snow and clearing ice from your windshield.

I am sure the colts will be in no hurry to get back. They might even decide to stay in Florida for a bit. Just in case they get homesick for Indianapolis here's a picture of Kroger. There are no Krogers in Miami, the closest thing is Publix.

If they have not done so already, they will probably think about getting a condo on the beach.

Host for Less

If you have a web site you need a web host. Some try to host the site themselves, but then you are chained to the server and if it goes down your site goes down. Wild Weather in Florida

Tornadoes roared through the Sunshine State ripping off roofs and smashing trailers. The high winds toppled trees making roads impassable and knocked over huge power lines leaving 20,000 people without electricity in Volusia county.

I predict that global warming will cause more oceanic evaporation driving the rough weather we see now. It is a good idea for people to have professionals host their web sites for them. A friend of mine in Florida had his web site down for over a week because there was no power to his personal web server.

Most professionals have generators and are in secure areas to prevent these troubles from shutting down the sites. Florida with its hurricanes is a prime spot for power outages and damage from cyclonic activity due to storm surge flooding and high winds.

Wirefly Phones

If you make a lot of calls on your cell phone and I do, then you need an excellent cell phone plan. You need a plan that charges a reasonable rate per minute and still gives you a lot of free weekend minutes.

Wirefly has the greatest number of plans and the greatest number of phones. It has literally hundreds of different models of cellular telephones in stock. Unlike a brick store, this click store is not limited in any way. It has all major carriers like Verizon Wireless, Cingular, T-Mobile, Sprint & more. If Verizon has coverage were you work and Cingular has coverage where you live you can get both! There are no limitations.

Most brick stores can only carry the most popular models due to space limitations and only have only a few plans to choose from, but Wirefly has all major models of cellular telephone, including the latest models that are not out in stores yet. Those dream phones that you see on TV, but the store is always out of. Wirefly has them! Also, the price is much lower than a brick store and the colors and options much better.

If you want the latest in a high tech phone with all the bells and whistles then Wirefly is the place to go. Take a look at the price of the Blackberry Pearl, or the new special offer of a FREE Motorola RAZR from Cingular.

In addition to phones, Wirefly has a great assortment of accessories including batteries, chargers, headsets, and most important signal boosters. Those are hard to find in stores, but very important if you travel. Signal boosters reduce dropped calls and dead zones while you drive. There is nothing worse than missing that critical call.

If ringtones are your thing, Wirefly has them. I use different ringtones to identify different callers. There is no need to look at the caller ID. If it's work I know.

Because Wirefly has more plans so they can tailor an individual plan to suit your needs. Wirefly cell phone plans are priced to sell. For groups you can get excellent group rates on the family plan. For example, a family plan that let's you talk to friends and family in your circle for free like Cingular FamilyTalk. I use that Cingular plan right now and save a lot. Checkout Wirefly cell phone plans and compare them to your current plan.

If you are on a budget then Wirefly has a number of prepaid plans that you can easily afford. Pay only for the minutes you need with no ugly surprise at the end of the month. Get cool phones like the Motorola RAZR with no credit check, no deposit and zero commitment.

So what are you waiting for? Click on WIREFLY now!

Monster ice storm cancels 500 flights

An ice storm has hit the South like a hammer. There are over 500 flights grounded and many planes cannot leave due to the terrible conditions. I am glad I have a cell phone handy where people can reach me.

At all times a cell phone is great in an emergency. This is one such event where being able to call people and see that they are all fine is very important. With SMS I can send messages to people all over the world and be in constant contact no matter where I am.

Global warming causes big hurricanes

A scientific report that global warming is linked to stronger hurricanes came out today. The report says that tropical cyclonic winds have increased in strength due to greenhouse gases produced by human activity.

In the previous report - 2001, the panel had stated that there was insufficient evidence to warrant said conclusion. With the latest data there is little doubt that the increase in terrible category five storms is due to warmer than normal oceanic waters caused by an accumulation of greenhouses gases, namely CO2, brought on by modern industrial activity.

According to Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor Kerry Emanuel, "The increase in Atlantic hurricane strength is so beautifully correlated with sea surface there can't be much doubt that there's a relationship with sea surface temperature."

In other words we will face more and stronger storms in the future as global warming increases. I predict a dramatic decline in prices of coastal real estate and rising insurance rates.
