Laptops still pricey

Laptops are still pricey. They slow down to a crawl after the first year. Also, battery life is not the best after six months - yes six. I wish I could still use my old laptop, but it is gone. They do not last very long anymore. Mostly, this is due to cheap components that manufacturers use.
