Giant birds are gone. Human colonization affected them thousands of years ago. Yeah, over 1000 species are gone. That is a lot of species. Actually, many were over hunted by men. Sadly, they are no longer with us. What are the reasons. Destruction of habitat due to fires is one. Loss of diversity is massive.
