Life without oxygen

First scientists said that life could not exist without oxygen. Then they admitted that there were anaerobic bacteria, but said that there could not be any multicellular organisms. Well, now we find the first ever multicellular organisms living without oxygen. Oh, those foolish men of science. Intelligent life does not require oxygen, but it does require a mind to be open.
