Electric Fiat microvette

The new Fiat electric car has a range of 70 miles and a top speed of 60mph. This more than adequate for most people and should be in the showroom soon. Hope real soon, since gasoline will go up a lot in 2009.

This question is for anyone knowledgeable about the various hdr units. You see I plugged in a 150v power inverter into the ciggarette lighter of my car to power my 3rd gen hdr. while using the unit I turned on and off the ignition to my car a max of 3 times. Soon after this the witness well and display screen of my hdr no longer lit up. The people at hdrenterprises.net (non steve gibbs version hdr)said that I burned out the whole HDR and that no car has enough power for the hdr. Why is the 2009 gibbs version able to be run out of a car as demonstrated by hdrkid. While my unit burnt out?

You should not have any problems. I use my HDR with my car. You need about 400 watts of power. If you do not have enough, the HDR electromagnet is weak.

What power inverter do you use? Is it over 400 watts?
