Sadly, a nine year old girl died today of swine flu. She could be the poster child for this dreaded disease. A sickness that will soon have taken thousands. The disease is spreading and infecting many. The H1N1 virus is resistant to tamiflu and other antiviral agents. People, we are in a world of hurt. This pretend all is fine approach is causing many to die.

Right now, over one million people in US have mexican swine flu H1N1 virus. I suggest leaving shoes outside the house and avoiding crowded stores, like Wal-mart. Shop at small home locally own shops where you see few people. The produce may cost more, but your health is important. Stay away from a megamall that has lots of people in it.
Shoes can track in viruses. Keep shoes outside the house and have plastic washable house shoes, like crocs. These you can wash with chlorine to remove viruses.

OK, we know money don't grow on trees. People ask - where are the jobs? OK so we are in a recovery, RIGHT? Actually, no, the so called economic recession is turning into a very grim depression.
Skeptics that claim all is fine are liars. Things are bad and getting worse. Trust me on this, if things were getting better sales would increase. Talk to small biz and they tell you that sales are falling and that it is getting harder to pay employees. This means they have to let go of more people.

The number of mexican swine flu cases is at a record high this week. Skeptics act like all is fine, but more and more people are getting it. This flu is a lot stronger than previous strains.
I predict that the H1N1 virus will become more far more virulent or also develop strong resistance for many antiviral medicines we now use.

The financial problems are truly global. OK, even though the fall started in US due to sub prime mortgage meltdown, in europe things are worse now. In england there is no recovery.
Sadly, many of new jobs created will not last through this down turn. Things are slowing down as economic crisis worsens.

Jobless rates will soon go over 10%. This means we are still sliding; yes ever in a downward direction.
As we suffer some of the loftiest jobless rates in over 30 years, the severe mortgage meltdown is not over. Banks are still not lending money. They are in fact suffering from a declining real estate market. Until this market turns around we can see more pain.

California unemployment rate is 11.5% highest ever, Florida jobless percentage is 10.2% highest in 34 years, but debunkers claim that everything is fine. In fact, one debunker told me he lives in California. Well, I guess he is unaware that his state is near bankrupt.

OK many people are trading their white collar jobs for blue. I have already seen it, computer programmers becoming truck drivers, MBA getting work as building inspector, R&D design engineers fixing airplanes, the list goes on.
The reason, is very simple; many of those high paying high technology jobs of tomorrow are so yesterday. With OUTsourcing many high skill high wage workers are OUT of a job. It is a lot cheaper to hire a web designer in India for $3000/yr than in US for $30,000/year.
Things are so bad that I saw an engineer from Pakistan working inside a convenience store; he told me that he did not come to america to starve.

In what can only be tasked as obvious, we see a decline in the dollar. As I stated before, printing green pieces of paper in massive quantities is not a good idea. Drop in the dollar again, vs euro means that US economy is in trouble. People are moving out of dollar into commodities such as oil, into gold, and yes, into euros. OK so some debunkers said that people would go into stocks, but today the DOWN Jones Industrial Average was DOW again!

OK so some say crude oil rise means economic recovery. I believe that a better idea is that this is cause by the current crisis in iran. Rightly so, because when oil shot up to $147 last year it was not a sign of a good economy, but rather one of speculators looking for a place to dump dollars.

Times are tough, instead of an economic recovery, what we see is more turmoil. Reports that myspace lays off over 400 workers should help wake you up - from the mirage of a false recovery.
This talk of "recession is over" is wrong. In fact what is taking place is that we are sinking ever deeper into the mire.
Firms need to adjust to a new reality; one where there is a lot less money. This reminds me of people in the great depression would always say "prosperity is just around the corner."

US industrial production in factories hits a new record low. This should surprise no one as it seems every day execs shut down a US factory and move it to China. This is what globalism looks like. All that DOWNsizing and OUTsourcing - now we are DOWN & OUT!
Executive say "we gotta cut costs", OK so why are they making so much money? People in corner offices who sit in big chairs produce nothing but hot air. They are not creators of wealth, but rather destroyers.

Six Flags declared bankruptcy due to recession. Here is a company that could not survive, because as things get worse, people cut back on nonessential items. When you have to decide if money is to be spent on food or fun - food wins.
If you think traffic is down now, wait until oil soars back over $100. It is not to sound pessimistic, but people will cut back on spending as our economic crisis worsens.

North Korea says turn all its plutonium into bomb material. I warn people that this is a ticking time bomb. All over the world people worry this technology to produce intercontinental ballistic missiles could fall into the wrong hands - it will.
It is only a matter of time until enemies of US get this technology and use it. The policy of appeasement has failed. In fact, we can rest assure that in a not too distant future we shall reap the harvest of our lack of action on this matter.

Yesterday, we had a major announcement that mexican swine flu was now a pandemic and over 30,000 are sick. Planning ahead for H1N1 virus is important. Today, President Obama says that we need a new health care plan. It could be close to what we see in canada, and will help make care more affordable to the poor. Public plan will mean more taxes.

The moment I predicted has arrive on schedule. The H1N1 mexican swine flu pandemic is here. World braces for impact as sick patients flood hospital emergency rooms. This virus has made the jump from america to asia. Hong Kong schools are closing due to the epidemic. Children are at risk of an illness due to the rapid spread through sneezing.
People, this is not normal, in fact, this H1N1 virus is the 1st flu epidemic in over forty years since that dreaded Hong Kong flu pandemic in 1968. Back then people dreamed of one day going to the moon. Well, now we ignore such talk.

It was another down day for the dow. It appears that rising interest rates are destroying any chance of an economic recovery. Also, oil is going up, it closed today over $72/barrel. This is not a sign of recovery, but of discovery, as in the fact that people will pay at the pump. They have no choice.
Sadly, many companies are close to bankruptcy. GM & Chrysler were only the tip of the iceberg. As the financial situation deteriorates expect to see more stores close, and eventually malls shut down. This will leave to empty ghost malls and abandoned areas.

The two ladies that were sentenced to twelve years in a North Korean prison are no doubt living in deep fear. Unlike Bush who would have sent troops to their rescue, Obama prefers to give North Koreans flowery speeches. This 21st century Neville Chamberlain of our age who appeases monsters instead of confronting them is a lesson in why weakness is never an option.

Those who say that the economic crisis is over - are wrong. Hyperinflation is a worry going forward. In this environment, we have a strong possibility of complete collapse.
Analyst says that oil could go to $200/b. This would crush our economy. Gold will continue to rise. Sales are still falling, and unemployment is rising.

OK say goodbye to those high dollar high tech jobs. OUTsourcing is sending good jobs out of the US and in its place we have more fast food minimum wage service jobs. Instead of getting $50/hr to build cars, you get minimum wage to build burgers.
Actually, our economic crisis means more jobs shipped offshore and less product made in america. The result is a soaring trade deficit and a drop in the dollar. Also, people do not make enough money to afford cars, houses, and other big ticket items. That said, we see a big drop in the number of houses sold, cars bought, and high end electronics.
Therefore jobs of the future are in the tourism industry as our country will need more people to clean hotel floors and serve meals. These jobs will pay very little and do not require college.

Yesterday, I went and saw the time travel movie "Land of the Lost" which was quite funny and silly. The main character is a scientist that has developed a time machine that can take you back to the time of dinosaurs. This scientist reminds me of inventor Steven Gibbs.

Illinois has their 5th swine flu death. The flu did not go away, and ignoring it will not help you. People need to know that mexican swine flu is now causing very serious complications and potentially deadly bacterial infections.
I look forward to a day in the future, we no one gets sick and hospitals are empty. A day when we see disease as a distant memory.

OK so one debunker says - severe recession is over, we are in economic recovery now. Hey, my reply is - remember GM appears to do well in 2006, but by 2008 only the fools still believe it will survive? Well, even dumber are the debunkers who waited until GM declares bankruptcy to then do a debunker flipflop and claim they always knew it would go under.
Toyota which makes the high quality energy efficient prius says that in May 2009 they sold 152,583 cars versus 257,406 a year ago back in may 2008. Things in 2008 were so bad that GM had gigantic losses, well they are even worse now. It is estimated that by the end of 2009 US gov will have spent 80 billion trying to bail out GM. If we were in an economic recovery you would expect sales of 300,000 cars instead of 150,000 cars.

Another down day for the dow, after bad news came in. It appear the recovery is derailed. The Down Jones Industrial Average no longer contains GM which went bankrupt. Cisco is replacing it. AAA says that energy prices are going up. Gasoline which was $2/gallon last month is now over $2.50/gallon. I predict that we will see oil go up for two reasons. First we hit peak oil in 2005, second a decline in the value of the dollar.

Maybe GM would have not gone under if they had come out with a flying car. This staple of science fiction is available as the Terrafugia flying car. It is real, and it is here. In fact, you could say the future is up in the air.

GM bankruptcy is end of an era. At one time in 1979 they had 511,000 employees, now they have 54,000. Last month sales of new cars were down 45% compared to last year which was horrible; only Chrysler did worse with sales down 52%, sales of the ill fated iconic Hummer were down 67%.
It truly is a sad day for america as its largest manufacturer closes its doors. The giant automaker made possible for many in labour to enjoy a comfortable life. However, now instead of america workers making 50 dollars an hour, we shall see chinese workers making 50 cents an hour. Times are a changing.
