Oil at record high

Oil prices rose above 143/b and gasoline is at a record high today. Even with extra Saudi oil we face a hot summer of high energy prices. I expect to be followed by a bitter cold winter due to high heating oil prices.

All attempts to conserve energy should be made to increase as the world supply of petroleum has clearly passed its peak. I predict that unless dramatic new measures are taken we could see 200 dollar a barrel oil by next year.

High efficiency solar panels

Evergreen has high efficiency solar panels that have a much better ROI than before. I see a future where we use new forms of technology to generate power.

Solar electricity is the way to go, as it does not create greenhouse gases of toxic radiation. We need solar powered cars, soon.

A solar future?

Perhaps solar energy will serve us in the future.

Home sales down

House prices are falling faster than during the Great Depression and sales of new homes are down. Banks say that foreclosures doubled this year compared to last year and now we see rising jobless rate.

It is now a time that will test our souls, we see the collapse of the economy and soon banks will start to fall...

Electricity prices go up due to high fuel

In a power shock to the pocket book, consumers will pay 29% more this year for electricity due to high fuel prices. Your light bill is going up. And soon all those people who talked about electric cars being the answer will start to wonder when blackouts become frequent.

It seems that we have not built enough power plants. In fact, due to regulations electrical companies have dragged their feet on building new big coal fired generators. And now wth new environmental regulations expect even fewer plants to be under construction.

That said coal double in price this year, oil is at a record high, and natural gas is up 50%. This means that you will have to pay more for electricity, so energy conservation should become more common.

Is the end near for Yahoo?

What we see is that Google is taking on much of the role of Yahoo and the search engine is becoming a part of big behemoth. With Microsoft out of the picture, there is little to keep Google from slowly absorbing Yahoo.

Flood = high food prices

The terrible flood of 2008 is destroying riverside towns and ruining fields. It is now too late for farmers to replant and the existing corn crop is underwater.

David Miller, the Dir of research at Iowa Farm Bureau, says that almost 1.3 million acres of corn and 2 million acres of soy -- almost 20% of the state's crop -- had already been lost to the flood.

Iowa flooding is like Katrina a terrible disaster, but it will cause food prices to go up. Already corn prices are at a record high.

China clamps down on Olympics

The repressive regime of Red China today issues some more rules and restrictions to prevent protests at the 2008 olympics. This slave labor camp which pretends to be capitalist was allowed to host an international event, so now we see the folly.

Many tourist will stay away from this police state with its heavy handed regulations. John Titor said there would be no 2008 olympics we will see.

Gasoline shortage in the future?

As supply goes down and demand goes up we will see a gasoline shortage in the future with rationing. I foresee that it will be quite grim in the dark days that are ahead. Also, the road ahead will be bumpy as asphalt is now twice as expensive as last year meaning less street crews fixing our highways.

Using HDR assisted astral time travel I saw in the future long lines for food and fuel. Also many epidemics and a time of troubles. The ration cards were red and blue.

Vortex science

A scientist that studies nature has found a way to make more efficient propellers and airplanes. This merger of biology and technology will allow fans to move more air will less energy, boats to travel farther on the same gallon of diesel fuel. A true breakthrough in modern technology.

Oil Explodes, Dow Drops

A new record was set today for oil - $138/b, meanwhile the dow is DOWn over 300 points. It seems that the economy is now near collapse as the banks start to fail. I predict dark days are ahead!

Big break for electric cars

A new lithium ion polymer battery will allow cars to increase their current range from about 120 miles to over 200 miles. The key to the new lithium ion polymer battery is called a Superlattice Structure. Using the new cathode the energy density is much higher. We could soon see electric cars rolling down the highway.

Gasoline price going down

Today oil is down $123/b from a record high of $135/b last week. Also, where I live gasoline is down from $3.99/gallon to $3.87 today. I am very happy. There where people predicting that gas would hit $6/gal this year.

Future price of oil will go over $200/b but not right now. Also, we face strong hurricanes due to climate change caused by global warming.

Biofuels in future?

Well, some say that the future is biofuels, but is this so? Let's look at corn to ethanol. It takes more energy to produce than uou get out. Also the land cannot be used to grow food.

A better solution is windmills and solar energy, but to use ag waste as a fuel might be common in the future.

Oil price plunge

Oil prices are $10 off record high and keep falling. The dollar got stronger and also demand for petroleum products is down. This is added to worries of am economic slowdown decreasing the demand even further. Speculators are hitting the exit button. In fact, many believe that the oil bubble has burst.

This said, the price of oil will resume its uphill climb soon. Get ready for $5/gal gas in the near future.

World rulers discuss high food prices

In is a crisis situation as global leaders face rsing food prices due to the conversion of corn to ethanol. The biggest problem is that many of the worlds poor now face shortages of grain. The so called grain drain is affecting the lives of the city dwellers in distant lands.

As more and more land is divcerted to produce corn to ethanol we see now that other grains such as wheat are more expensive. The problem is that the energy shortage may create a food shortage on a global scale. I predict that a massive food riot will wake people up to what is going on.
